inconsistent - not all service advisors are the same Back in August, I noticed oil level light came up at 30%. Asked my local Acura/Honda certified service guy about it and he said it's a common problem Back in August, I noticed oil level light came up at 30%. Asked my local Acura/Honda certified service guy about it and he said it's a common problem and take it to dealer. Herb Connolly advisor suggested I change oil and undergo oil consumption test. I brought vehicle back after 1K and 2K - both times service advisor said 'everything is fine'. At 50%, engine level light came on again. Oil dipstick was at lower hole with warm engine. I spoke to service dept. Personnel said to take it in for a look. I inquire what exactly are they going to do and I don't want another oil change and consumption test. A service advisor came on and basically said this is 'normal'. Consuming 1 quart every 1K is acceptable !! That it's time for an oil change after 4800 miles. I pointed out about 50% and his response was the computer is defective and needs to be fix. I finally had enough and said he's giving me the runaround. Basically trying to find excuses to get me off his back. I asked to speak to his supervisor. He replied the supervisor would say the same thing. That he is being 'professional' and this is what he is instructed to say by Acura. I replied this is not acceptable for me. What can I do? He said we cannot do anything w/o seeing the car. I said fine but I do not want another consumption test. He basically repeated so I came in. The first service advisor said I had to wait for service manager to see what he'll do. Should be in twenty minutes. Half an hour later, no service manager so I walked to service area. I asked service advisor what are the options since I had to go to work (had waited 1.5 hrs at this point). Finally another service advisor (older gentleman with accolades - wish I have his name) overheard our conversation, asked for paper work and instructed other advisor to give me a loaner and acknowledged the issue. He pointed out issue is covered under power train warranty. Thank goodness for this guy! Without his intervention who knows what I had to do. Bottom line, I had at least 2 - 3 advisors @Herb Connolly who did not recognize this problem and in my opinion, wanted customer to accept it - either change oil more often or throw up their hands and say nothing we can do. Disappointing to say the least. I give it 2 stars because of old gentleman. More
Stepped up their Service Great experience. As soon as I drove up I was greeted by an associate ( he went to go find my service agent). While waiting for my service agent, the Great experience. Very much appreciated the attentiveness to customers. I went to get my regular maintenance and recieved my car on time and clean. Thanks guys! More

They not only fixed the issue but then offered a free accessory for my trouble as the car was brand new, Its easy to do well when everything is perfect but when they are not, true outstanding customer service will work to exceed expectation. Excellent quick turnaround of a major repair Dale took my call mid-day and was waiting when the tow truck brought my car in a few minutes later. My 2004 TL with 165,000 had broken down with a broken front axle. After a brief consultation, he offered me alternatives and both front axles had been replaced with new ones by the end of the day. I had the use of a beautiful new TLX loaner that I drove until I picked up my car when they opened at 7 the next morning. More

Beyond My Expectations - Goodwill Warranty Service Recently, my 2015 Acura MDX rear tail-light stopped working. This is not a cheap and easy bulb fix, but a $400 part plus labor - and I was a couple th Recently, my 2015 Acura MDX rear tail-light stopped working. This is not a cheap and easy bulb fix, but a $400 part plus labor - and I was a couple thousand miles over my warranty. So, I called Herb Connolly and was told to bring the car in so they could take a look. I have always been suspicious and have avoided dealership service departments. Since purchasing the car at Herb Connolly, I only returned once to get my free oil change - all other maintenance was done elsewhere or by myself. I really didn't expect anything other than a big estimate, inclusive of other things that need to be addressed. I brought the car in and Herb Connolly applied a "goodwill warranty extension" and replaced the part at no cost to me! They have earned my future business and I would recommend Herb Connolly to others looking for Sales or Service. More
