It is quite amazing to see how a trip to my favorite Honda Dealer in Jersey City has saved me time, money, unnecessary hassle... and unknown stress. My Baby's Oil change was due. With the tax season deadlines fastly approaching, no professional Tax Director has time in their hands. I personally work twenty hours a day to respond and satisfy a demanding clientele and to remain competitive in a market saturated with tax services most importantly. Geographic location has obliged me to take a trip to another Honda dealer last saturday for a quick oil change. I was satisfied to see how fast the service was done and price was basically affordable ($89.14) for an "Express Service w/Synthetic Oil. Before my car was returned to me, the service manager handed me a list of issues that needed to be taken care of. I was told:" Sir, for your safety i would recommend you to do those services today. We won't be responsible if anything happens after leaving our premises." First of all, I naturally trust the advisors and techs at Metro who are nicer and not pushy. Tuesday night, i took my car for a test at Metro and the results of the previous diagnostic not only were inaccurate, the price for the same services was relatively lower. The service advisor at Metro, with her sense of urgency offered me a loaner for my professional obligations would not allow me to stay as i had customers in line waiting in my office. Before my departure from Metro, the tech invited me to see with my own eyes there was nothing wrong with my rear brakes as stated by the previous Honda Dealer where i was asked $69.95 to do nothing. Big savings! Metro charged me $100 bucks less for the emission. Metro, you guys ROCK! All the very Best!!! More

I bring the car in today and the way the service advisor handled the situation was very poor I stated I'm here for an oil change I have the free oil change for life card with out pulling up my info he began to tell me that we'll sometime that can be cancelled did you do any recommended services here I said last time here they recommend tires for 4 at 300.00 + each so tires were brought outside of metro Honda for total 750.00 he began to tell me that cancelled the oil change contract he pulled up my info and stated since I didn't buy tires here the contract is void. That was never discussed at last service appointment nor do I see that in any of my information regarding lifetime oil changes I feel that he treated me like I wasn't a sale so I was a waste of time and that was a tactic for me to take any recommended service at that time as a customer it's all about the delivery of information I brought a 22000 car from here I spent money here at the time of sale that was a deal that confirmed the sale now since I'm not doing recommended service at this time and just need an oil change does not mean that in the future I wouldn't be back in a week or so to do the recommended service here. Moving forward I will be in search of a new dealership for service for my Honda accord. More

Our car was seriously damaged during the oil change, and nobody told us that. When we drove the car back home, we noticed the strange sound. We don't use the car often, so we took it to the mechanic today, nobody told us that. When we drove the car back home, we noticed the strange sound. We don't use the car often, so we took it to the mechanic today, one week after the oil change. The mechanic said that the damage like that can happen after the car is severely racked. He said that it was possible that it was damaged during the oil change. When we brought the car to Metro Honda, it was fine, just needed oil, in the notes that we received from Metro Honda, the damage wasn't there. But when we picked up the car, it was definitely having problems and making noises. We're 100% sure, that during the oil change the car was damaged. Now it's not in the working condition. Since we didn't go right back to the dealer after the oil change because we didn't have time, now we can't prove that they caused the damage. I'm not saying they did it on purpose, but they could have at least admitted it, since there is no way they didn't notice it. We're never going back to this place, and will warn all our friends about it. More
I have a Toyota and a Honda. The service that I have got from the Toyota service across the street has been exceptional. The Metro Honda service however is a different story. I have spent $4K with them in from the Toyota service across the street has been exceptional. The Metro Honda service however is a different story. I have spent $4K with them in the last one year so fair to say I have been an "enagaged" customer. The car in question here is a 2007 Honda Civic with only 30K miles - YES, that's right, only 30K miles on it. Every time I have gone for an oil change, they have highlighted one problem or the other and fleeced me out of money (Of course I have been gullible enough to allow them make a fool out of me as well). Now, the main reason for this review is that I started having problems with my car starting up. A year ago, Metro Honda had advised me that the current battery in the car was pretty close to dead and they replaced it with a brand new Honda one. 2 months ago, my car failed to start. I jump started it and ignored it as a one time event given it was winter. Then it failed to start 2 more times. So I decided to take it to my friends at Metro Honda, they advised me that the battery needs to be replaced (Free since it was in warranty but also showed me several other problems. Final bill: $2000). 2 days later, car fails to start again. I get AAA to jump start it and assume that the battery was not fully charged when it was replaced. 1 week later, car fails to start again. So I call up AAA again, jump start the car and take it to Metro Honda. This time they tell me, the battery relay is faulty - Bill: $200. I get the car home and 2 days later, car fails to start again. I request Metro Honda to send someone to jump start the vehicle - which they do - car is back at the service station. This time they keep it for 3 full days, finally tell me they didn't think it was a relay problem last time (So did I pay $200 for nothing?), however they change the relay again (No charge thankfully) and tell me this time its fixed for good (Another thing - I notice that they have put a flyer in the car with a quote to buy my car. Interestingly I have been consistently receiving these buy back offers in the mail for the last few months ). Guess what happens 3 days later - Car fails to start again. Again on a Sunday, I call up Metro Honda and request them if they can send someone to jump start the battery - Service advisory says we are short staffed, cannot do anything and tells me I will need to tow the car in. Well, I have called AAA and now plan on wasting my Sunday with this. Long story short: - All of the advisers are very courteous, no doubt, BUT they have no clue what they are doing. - Could be a bait and switch tactic. Frustrate the customer into believing that their car is no good so that they sell it to them. P.S. - I have also tried to purchase cars from them in the past. PLEASE AVOID THEIR SALES DEPARTMENT at all costs. Totally unreliable and will intimidate you. More
Bought a car in 2010 (it was a year old) from Metro Honda. Two weeks later, it was in the service department because water was leaking directly into the passenger side of the car. Metro honda had my ca Honda. Two weeks later, it was in the service department because water was leaking directly into the passenger side of the car. Metro honda had my car for 3 weeks the first time they attempted to repair it. After the 3 weeks I got my car back and the same problem kept occurring. After 4 attempts at "fixing" it, they told me they couldn't figure out the problem and that it wasn't leaking, even though I showed the service department the puddle of water on my passenger mat prior to leaving the car for service. I got my car back a couple of days later and Miraculously, the leaking hasn't occurred since. (Then again, it is still winter, so I'm anxious to see what happens in the summer when I turn my A/C on again). Now (4 months later), I'm having what sounds/feels like transmission issue. Called and told them the issue I was having and also told them that I would need a loaner car (my plan covers it) They said don't have any available until "maybe next week", and that they only have 5 loaners available. METRO HONDA IS THE WORST at solving issues or making service easy. I would NEVER AGAIN buy a car or recommend this dealer to my worst enemy. I'd rather buy a car from someone off the street then ever give this dealer my business again. *side note: On the 2nd attempt to fix the leaking water problem, my front mats (which were brand new and replaced during the 1st attempt at fixing the leaking situation) were removed and replaced with old, beat-up mats, with rips/tears in them. I complained and received new ones. This dealership can't be trusted. DON'T SHOP HERE!!!!! GO TO ROUTE 22 HONDA IN UNION, NJ! BETTER DEALS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! More
People usually dread going to get their car serviced. I was one of those people; but purchasing my vehicle at Metro Honda not only gave me wonderful value and a great purchase experience, it meant that any was one of those people; but purchasing my vehicle at Metro Honda not only gave me wonderful value and a great purchase experience, it meant that any time I needed to get my car serviced, I would visit Metro's service department. George and his staff treat me and all of their clients like VIPs. I had a minimal and reasonable wait for the service I was receiving and not that it mattered, considering I was relaxing in their comfy waiting area with wifi and even free bagels and coffee! Now, when it is time to get my car serviced I no longer cringe! I smile! Thanks Metro Honda!! More
