Somehow they were able to delete this review- so I am putting it back up again to warn consumers of the risks they take trying to do business with these folks. UPDATE: Left 2 messages for Jose (the c putting it back up again to warn consumers of the risks they take trying to do business with these folks. UPDATE: Left 2 messages for Jose (the copy and paste response below) have not heard back. We are being told the earliest we can get our deposit money back is this coming Monday (I had to call Tuesday to start the process of getting our money back- I'm sure they would have held it indefinitely). There is no level of unacceptable too high for these folks. Honda is a great brand but this has left me feeling like all those stereotypes about buying a used car and dealing with slick salespeople is accurate. We were the victims of Hurricane Ida and went to Metro Honda because of proximity to where we had to abandon our vehicle and wade through flood waters to safety. I explained this to David Bivins, our salesman. We looked at what would be the perfect vehicle to replace the total loss. It was ALMOST a silver lining. The car had some damage we were assured would be fixed. We put a deposit down with the understanding we woild be getting a phone call when the vehicle was ready. I proceeded to move mountains with insurance and was in touch with Metro Honda every step of the way. Imagine my shock when I got a text that our deposit apparently means nothing, and they sold the car from under us. I am deeply upset by how these folks chose to do business. This is a slick big city dealership with very little care for anyone, they are all about volume. Our sales guy used the tactic where he seemed insulted that we didn't trust him about the deal - I felt assured because we gave a deposit and how aggressive David was. That was all a show, he told me he had no control and the GM just didn't want to hold the car. For flood victims. Nice. More
