I am a 61 year old female who has never purchased a new car before. However, 2 months ago I decided it was time for me to buy a new car for myself. I researched on the internet, compared prices and even car before. However, 2 months ago I decided it was time for me to buy a new car for myself. I researched on the internet, compared prices and even visited dealerships. I feel it necessary to mention that I am the type of person who likes to look and shop without being pressured by sales people. I visited at least 20 car dealers, explained to each salesperson that I would like to view their inventory and if I had any questions, I would go back an ask them. However, for whatever reason I was followed around the lot, by a salesperson at each and every dealership I visited. Not the case at Metro Honda, in Jersey City on Route 440. I was greeted by Jovan Wickliffe, advised nhim that I would prefer to look at the inventory by myself and if I had any questions I would ask him. Finally, a salesperson who respected the customer. I could not believe it. I knew immediately, that he was a professional. In summary, I did purchase a 2012 Honda Civic and only dealt with Jovan. He was available to me, even by phone to answer any question or concern I had before I made the decision to purchase the car. I believe he puts the customer first and that is why I finalized my purchase with him. He is truly an asset to the sales tea at Metro Honda! More
I went in hoping that I could finally get a better car than my real old one. I was expecting to buy the cheapest used car on the lot. Instead I was able to leave with a 2012 Accord and a very reasonable than my real old one. I was expecting to buy the cheapest used car on the lot. The overall experience was very good, particularly during our second visit when they felt they have more chances to sell a unit to us. A better service during the first visit would be a way to improve to get our second visit when they felt they have more chances to sell a unit to us. On the other hand, they always conducted on a friendly basis and trying to accommodate our needs as well as answering our questions. We did not feel pressure from them in order to make a decision, what is really appreciated. They gave us time to analyze our alternatives and were helpful with information and data. More
It was a fluke that I stumbled onto metro Honda. I was looking for a car for my daughter and she found the exact car she wanted an went there on her own. I had to meet her there in the pouring rain and h looking for a car for my daughter and she found the exact car she wanted an went there on her own. I had to meet her there in the pouring rain and happy i did. I looked at 3 other honda dealerships and walked out on all of them. Albie was very nice and tried to help me any way he could. I know I gave him a bit of a hard time but he was very patient with me. It all worked out and we are very satisfied with the car. I would definitely refer metro Honda to anyone who wants to purchase a Honda. More
DO NOT SHOP HERE AND DO NOT TAKE THEM AT THEIR WORD! I called about a van that was listed online. When I asked Michelle about the quality of the van, because all their site showed was stock images, she s called about a van that was listed online. When I asked Michelle about the quality of the van, because all their site showed was stock images, she said it was in "very good condition." Because of the price and the statement of its condition, I placed a deposit on the car and drove 2 hours with my wife and 2 kids (1 of which is a baby) to check it out. When we got there, they told me that I was early (which I was) and that it wasn't ready yet. I said that it was okay, that I would like to see the car before it got detailed because I knew if there were signs of it being in an accident that I wouldn't want to buy it and didn't want to waste my time. After keeping me waiting for 20 minutes, and Will disappearing a couple of times, GM John C. showed me to the car and admitted that it was in awful condition. He seemed to be the only honest person there. Sure enough, there were major abrasions on both bumpers, which showed that it had been dinged around plenty in the past. In addition, the inside looked like someone had dumped a beach in it due to all of the sand and dirt that I saw. John told me that this was one of the worst cars they have ever had in their lot. So goes the "very good condition" that Michelle claimed it was in. After finding no other car in their lot that was similar it was time for me to leave. On the way back home we were stuck in major traffic, which cost us another hour and my baby was screaming most of the way. I decided to call Michelle and let her know how misleading her comments were and how disappointed we were with her service. She said that the car "looked good from the outside." To which I responded it looked terrible. Then she said, "well it looked good from here," which I assume meant her desk in the lobby. Unfortunately, nobody did any research ahead of time to let me know that I was interested in a lemon. And even after I discovered what a pile of sh*t the van was, Will was trying to convince me that "they can do a lot with a detail." No thanks. Buyer be warned. More
I have to say that my experience with John & Jovan at Metro Honda far exceeded my expectations. John was recommended to me by a friend and I could not be happier with the decision to visit this dealership. It is an hour drive from my home. Buying a car is one of the things I dread to most, but both John & Jovan were so knowledgable and friendly it made my decision to lease a new car a pleasant experience. They will definately see me again! More
