Went to appraise my vehicle; two hours past just to hear "if you could put 500 we could lower your current payments", 10 to 20 dollars less not really a big difference especially, when nothing was approved by the bank (loan officer). Let me guess they were probably going to get me approved with Hanns Financial, and I thought they were better then Rt 22 honda. More
Another Car Buying Nightmare at Metro Honda in Jersey City I should have realized that what I was in for when I called the dealership about a 2012 Civic they were advertising, and asked for a detailed list o I should have realized that what I was in for when I called the dealership about a 2012 Civic they were advertising, and asked for a detailed list of the costs. I’ve bought many cars in my life. I’ve learned that some dealerships often tack on exorbitant fees, buried in the fine print, which allow their ads to seem like better deals than they really are. The short answer, is “yup, that’s what they do.” But the longer answer will give you even more reasons to take your business elsewhere, and I encourage you to keep reading. Their sales rep Anthony, told me that there were a couple of different fees, and he’d need to find his calculator to get the total number. A minute later he came back and said “sorry, I can’t find a calculator anywhere, but if you come in, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the price.” Having been to this rodeo a few times, I clarified that I was not interested in going anywhere until I understood the costs, and further, that I was not interested in playing these games. He apologized and said he would get back to me. Eventually, his sales manager Jairo called back. He apologized and said “I don’t authorize my sales people to give out prices on the phone.” This is probably because, as I learned, they tack on approximately $1,400 in fees above and beyond what the other companies I talked to were adding for sales tax, dealer prep, license etc. When he gave me the total cost to purchase the car, I told him thanks, but it was much more than I wanted to spend. He said, “you know what, I’m sorry you had this experience. I just got in another 2012 that isn’t even up on the website. I can let you have that for under $13,000.” I said, ok, but I would need to see pictures and a clean Car Fax. He promised to get those to me. Several days passed without receiving either. I did get calls each day trying to set up an appointment to come in. I emailed Jairo again saying I would come in under the following conditions : I saw the pictures, saw the clean car fax, and that the total cost was under $13,000. I finally received the pictures and a car fax that showed the car had 29,356 miles. I reached out again about the price. I got an email back from Anthony saying it would be $13,999. I emailed Jairo and reminded him of the price he had quoted, and asked him whether he planned to honor the price, or whether this was just how the Metro Honda dealership “rolled.” He called me back, recalled the conversation, and said that he would honor the original price he quoted. The rest should have been easy, right? Nope, it got worse. When I came in, the car I was shown to test drive was a 2011 Civic, and the sticker said it had 55,000 odd miles on it. When I started the car, the odometer was actually over 64,000 miles. I was already in the car, and took it for a 5 minute ride before asking the sales man to take me back. I got my laptop with all of my correspondence and asked to speak to Jairo. I calmly shared my frustration. He apologized and said he would see what was going on, and what he could do. He retreated to the control center to confer with the top brass (at the Metro, there are 4 or so big whigs who sit in this glass paneled room, looking out over the floor, and approving any deals.) While I waited for over 10 minutes, I could see them having what looked like a pretty good time inside. I had now wasted over 2 hours of my day off. I started writing this review. Jairo finally came out and said he was sorry, but there was a mistake in the inventory system, and they were working on correcting it so I could see the car fax for this car. I told him that I hadn’t come here to see a 2011 with 64,000 miles on it. I also asked to speak to the General Manager. Everything you need to know about this place can be learned from what happened next. I went into the room, expecting that the guy in charge would at least want to know what had happened to his prospective customer. Instead, he looked at me once, put his face back in the computer and said “Before you say anything, I know you think we are jerking you around, we aren’t and I’m trying to fix the problem by getting you the right car fax for the car.” I said, I’d like to give you some background, so you know why I feel like I’ve been jerked around.” I started to tell him what had happened to this point. He could not have been less interested. He never looked up from his screen once. I said look, I lease two new cars every 3 years through my business. I’ve bought two used cars for my kids in the last 3 years. My sister is a lead sales rep for Cars.com. I know how this game works. A t this point, he smirked, and started to berate me about there were no games here, never looking up from his computer. I had my computer out, because I had been prepared to show him my correspondence and car fax. Instead, I pointed out the review I had already started to write, because I wanted him to know that how he was dealing with this would have consequences. That really teed him off. He said “ok so you’re one of those Yelpers who thinks they can trash a business and that we’ll do whatever they want. Etc. etc. At this point, I was speaking just as loudly, though no one was listening. He just kept repeating that I was a Yelper, and at one point said I “was like one of those guys from South Park.” In fact, I own a marketing company with 30 employees. He insisted on knowing the name, so he could trash my business. At this point, I used my favorite expletive and left. After I left, I was thankful that my son hadn’t accompanied me, which had been the original plan. My blood pressure was through the roof. I committed to getting the word out about this dealership, not just on social media sites, but to the leadership of Honda. Then I went up to White Plains Honda, and had a very nice experience with the sales manager Ivan, though they didn’t have a car that would fit my needs/budget. On the way home, I stopped by Mahwah Honda, and was helped by Doug. Although this civic was a little beyond my budget, I ended up buying it. Great experience with both Doug and their finance manager. There are some good apples in the car business. It’s worth going out of your way to find them. More

Excellent experience!! I came into Metro Honda to trade in my 2007 Pilot and I was looking into a lease. This is what initially brought me to MH. I have a personal message I I came into Metro Honda to trade in my 2007 Pilot and I was looking into a lease. This is what initially brought me to MH. I have a personal message I originally sent to Mr. Horacio Garcia, and I will share it here. Before that, I want to say that I first met with Mr. Louis Navarro in the Service department and he is the one who put me in contact with Mr. Horacio Garcia. Both Metro Honda employees were exemplary in their service and professionalism and I look forward to doing business with them in the future. "Good morning Horacio, I wanted to take a minute while I have time to say thank you for all that you have done. Although I cannot say you have reinstated my faith in people of your profession, I would like to share that I feel blessed to have been introduced to a professional of your caliber. You have shown an interest in your customer and not how much money the customer is willing to pay and I am eternally grateful. I promise, going forward, that when I am ready to look for a new car I will return to you eagerly. Likewise, should I have any friends or family that is interested, I will be sure to let them know Mr. Horacio Garcia is very highly recommended by me personally. Sincerely, thank you once again for making my buying experience a pleasant one." More
Inconsiderate I will start off by saying that my initial purchasing experience seemed great. I purchased my car in June & couldn't be happier will my salesman Nick I will start off by saying that my initial purchasing experience seemed great. I purchased my car in June & couldn't be happier will my salesman Nick D (who I see is no longer working for them). The issues began with the issuance of my registration & tags. I live in New York so the dealership was handling the process for me. When my temporary registration expired after 20 days I contacted them to see why i had no received my new registration & license plates all to find out they were never processed. Because of this I was given a loaner vehicle. I had the loaner vehicle for a month before they called me to let me know my stuff was finally ready.I had spoken to the sales manger Harout Gapikia over the phone, who told me my car would be ready(they held it for me due to the fact it could not sit on the street). When I want to pick up my car the experience went left. 1st the managers were having a pizza party in there office, which is glass, so I can see them in there not interested in helping me. After waiting for 15 minutes & explaining to the receptionist that I live on Staten Island & was trying to catch the Bayonne Bridge before it closes, Harout finally called an associate in the office to go get my tags & put them on my car. This associate walked right past me without even speaking to go on with his assigned task. About another 5 minutes later Harout came out & asked if I was being helped & I made him aware that the associate walked right past me without even speaking to me. I was then told to drive the loaner to the back of the shop so my tags can be placed on my vehicle. When reached the service area I was once again ignored for 10 minutes & then I was told they couldn't even find my car. I was then told to go outside & see if I see my car in the. Another 15 minutes goes by before Harout decides to check the back lot to see if he can my find my car. After being gone for another 20 minutes he finally comes back & tells me he found the vehicle but cannot find the keys. He then disappears for about 45 minutes. No one gives me an update or anything. I am left to sit alone in the service garage. Finally a service department associate appears & I ask him to please let me know whats going. Now I start to raise xxxx. I have missed the bridge at this point & i cant believe the lack of organization at this place. After flipping out over the lack of communication, Harout finally reappears to let me know that my keys are locked in the desk of some other associate who is "Down at the shore". So at this point I had to find a new route home & waited time & money on this pointless trip. Harout promises me they will deliver my car to me the next day & he will make it up to me. To add insult to injury, Nick D brings my car back to my house but not before getting a tickets on my car for going through the EZpass toll without having an EZpass. Not to mention I haven't heard a word from Harout about how this would be made up to me like he sat in my face & told me. So....buying is fine because they have no problem taking your money. I suggest if you are an out of state buyer, just go to the DMV yourself & avoid the headache. I gave them a good reviews to corporate so they already benefited. Their customer services is horrible & if I didn't feel like going through the process again I would have just returned the car to them. More

Terrible mamagement I had very bad experience with this dealership. We went to buy a minivan and didn't buy it because of the manager. Manager was so rude and greedy that I had very bad experience with this dealership. We went to buy a minivan and didn't buy it because of the manager. Manager was so rude and greedy that we just left. We bought the car from other dealership because of the manager. The name was Harut or something like that. He was so rude with us and so demanding. For a second I thought we were in a Mercedes dealership because of the price that he asked. We were ready to buy the car but just because if him we went to open road. I dont wish anybody to do a bussines with that guy or even any altercation with him. More
