I walked in to do a Costco program on a new vehicle. I wanted to do my homework before purchasing. Jimmy basically was blowing me off due to I was not going to walk out with a car that day. The price on the Costco pro was set but, he was telling me all the cars come with “dealer added equipment “ basically add-ones . I said I don’t want any . He responded “they all come with. We can negotiate a price “ so I said no and walked out and never bring my business to this dealership. The add-ons were $ 4000+. I don’t recommend this dealership to any one More
Disappointing appointment I cannot express my extreme disappointment in how me and my wife were treated during our appointment. The salesperson we were handed off to was very I cannot express my extreme disappointment in how me and my wife were treated during our appointment. The salesperson we were handed off to was very dishonest with us in regard to the TrueCar discount and the dealer equip on the car and in the end tried to provoke us into a verbal altercation once we let him know we had discovered he was being dishonest. He sat us in one of the offices and said he was going to his sales manager’s office to get the TrueCar printout I received via email. He came back about minutes later and said the TrueCar site was down and he couldn’t see the price I was being quoted. He then asked if I could bring up the email I received and I told I couldn’t get logged in to my work email. He then showed us a printout of a picture taken by a cell phone that showed a computer screen he said was his sales manager’s screen. It showed the TrueCar site was not accessible and mentioned that it had been down all morning. He said that he would try again to reach the site from another computer. While he was away I went to the TrueCar site on my phone and accessed the site with no problem and brought up the price I was quoted. He returned and saw that I had gone to the site and said, ‘so you were able to get to the site’, I said yes. He then pulled a folded and balled up paper from his pocket, which had the quote on it, and placed it in a folder. He then showed it to us as though he had it all the time and hoped that we wouldn’t notice it was balled up, folded, and wrinkled. He then proceeded to explain the dealer added equipment on the car and when I asked legitimate questions about the equipment he was not able to answer the questions and got a bit upset. I saw that the sales was not going to happen and told him we were going to go. I stood up and said, in a raised voice, ‘I’m just try to help you’. I replied, ‘I don’t think you are’. He then said, ‘we’re just trying to help you here “Bro”’. I replied, I’m not your “Bro” or brother. He grabbed the folder and stormed out of the office. We walked out of store and while we were driving away he took the time out to taunted us as we drove away. This type of behavior is just not acceptable. He was caught dead to rights lying to us and then tried to provoke us into a verbal altercation to cover up his dishonesty. If this is the culture of your dealership and how business is done at your store I believe your business will suffer due to lack of consistent sales and repeat customers. Regardless to what he may have told you, what I wrote above is what happened we both witnessed it. I hope this will be addressed. More

Would not recommend. Very dishonest. Will raise price of car for anything and not tell you about internet pricing they have. Car was listed at 15,600 online salesman tried getting us for $21k not once did h car for anything and not tell you about internet pricing they have. Worst experience ever I had an appointment at 930 I arrived at 9 am, upselling of coaurse so I ask the representative how long I should expect he quoted me 1 and a half hou I had an appointment at 930 I arrived at 9 am, upselling of coaurse so I ask the representative how long I should expect he quoted me 1 and a half hours and discourage me from using the shuttle. I then walked to my job and returned at 1pm my service provider was at lunch so the gentleman I asked for help told me to wait for my advisor to get back from lunch. I insisted this guy to check on my car and he said they just began working on it. I asked if it was customary for a person to have an appointment and to begin service 4 hours later! I asked for my car keys and left. I left multiple messages on the service manager machine and spoke with a representative who said she was leaving a message on my behalf and NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME or responded me. This place lost me 100% More

If you want to be insulted with a an appraisal that is thousands less than other dealers on your vehicle, go here. If you want be offered a price on a new vehicle that is thousands above MSRP, then this is the dealer for you. I feel sorry for the sales person, who was very helpful and easy to work with, as he can't make a living if he can't make any sales. I found the sales manager to be rude and disrespectful and prompted me to write this review. Do yourself a favor and avoid Metro Honda Montclair. More
