I bought my last vehicle at Merit Chevrolet and had service there many times in the years I owned the car. I always thought that their service was overpriced and I didn't appreciate that I always felt service there many times in the years I owned the car. I always thought that their service was overpriced and I didn't appreciate that I always felt pressure to purchase more services than I had come in for, but at least they seemed to fix the problem and were overall polite. That all changed several months ago when I had an experience that cemented Merit Chevrolet on my boycotted companies list. I came in for a loud noise when the heater fan was on. I was assured that the problem was fixed after a rather expensive replacement of my blower motor and an incredibly inconvenient day and 1/2 without a car. When I picked up my car, the problem was not fixed at all, in fact nothing had changed. When I confronted them about this, the only response I got was "oops, we guessed wrong." They did fix the actual problem but I lost yet another day waiting around for this repair as well as more money. At the very least they could have apologized for their mistake, and I might have expected a discount on the second repair given how much of my time they had already wasted. I got neither of those, just a bad attitude. In frustration, I sent a letter of complaint to the manager. I received no response whatsoever. Apparently customer service is no longer important to them. DO NOT USE MERIT CHEVROLET SERVICE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. More

Ron was great to work with! The easiest new vehicle I've ever purchased! We went to the dealer, found the vehicle we wanted. I was referred to Ron at Merit by a friend and was very pleased with my experience. Ron was patient, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. John met me on the sales floor and asked if I had questions which I did. He proceeded to answer them and offered to bring a vehicle to the front for me to see. I then drove the vehicle and he conti questions which I did. He proceeded to answer them and offered to bring a vehicle to the front for me to see. I then drove the vehicle and he continued to answer all my questions. My current vehicle was being serviced (oil change) and he offered to determine what its' trade in value would be. We discussed the value and how it fit into the Kelly Blue book range. I then left with information to discuss with another family member. We came back a few days later and looked at another vehicle which better matched our needs and bought it. We had a 2 year old with us and everyone at the dealership was helpful as he "ran around" the floor. The process took a bit of time but we were happy and John was very professional the entire time...no pushing...just answering and handling all requests. More
We have bought our last 3 or 4 vehicals from Merit Chevrolet. We have dealt with Tom Conlin each time. We go back to Tom because he is always great to deal with and makes the buying process fun.
