Multiple issues. I leased an S550 in November. It is a fantastic car. My experience started with a salesperson that did not know how to work the parking brake. I alm I leased an S550 in November. It is a fantastic car. My experience started with a salesperson that did not know how to work the parking brake. I almost did not buy the car when he told me you had to manually release the parking brake every time you start the car. I researched the on-line manual to learn otherwise. I then negotiated a simple and straightforward deal with Zack Kelley, a sales manager, a few days later. Zack was pleasant and easy to work with. We agreed on an exact initial payment and after tax lease payment. I showed up to close on 11/27/15 at an agreed time with a check for the agreed amount. Zack was not there. After a wait, I was introduced to the finance person, Adil Zidouhia. He was difficult to understand, as it appeared English was a second language. He did not act like he wanted to be there---not friendly whatsoever. When he added $295 to my initial payment I should have walked. It appeared he was trying to tell me it had something to do with a tag charge. I reluctantly paid it, as i was so far into the deal. I later emailed Zack questioning the charge. He agreed to check on it and get back to me. He did not. I sent a final email a few days later. Zack responded that it was because i rejected "auto-pay". Neither Zack or the finance person ever suggested I would pay more unless I agreed to "auto-pay". Ron Wordon agreed to refund the $295, however despite being told it has been mailed, it has never been received. A couple weeks later I received my lease statement from Mercedes. They back-dated the lease to the first day I looked at the car. Basically, this meant I was paying for several days I did not have the car. I requested this be changed. I was told not to worry about it---just pay late. After letting Ron Wordon know this was not acceptable, he agreed to correct the lease (the general manager refused to talk to me). After several days, I received a new lease. They changed my address to an incorrect address and failed to correct the agreed initial payment. The bright side to my experience was delivery by Lea. She was fantastic. She knew the car well and was very patient teaching me about the incredible technology. More
