HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had a car on order with a previous sales person of the dealership back in late 2016 - Tito Molina. I gave a large deposit for the order and I though I had a car on order with a previous sales person of the dealership back in late 2016 - Tito Molina. I gave a large deposit for the order and I thought all was well. A couple months went by and I asked for an update on my car and John McDonald replied and said that Tito no longer works for MB of Stockton and long story short my car was never ordered. After some back and forth, we ended up reordering my car and was told it should be here sometime in April. I had yet to receive an update. Long story short, they never even placed the 2nd order! in a matter of 5 months, they still hadnt even ordered me a car, even though I had signed paperwork and a deposit in house!! Eric Zerrudo, who is a sales manager then took over the situation. They happened to have a similar car I was interested in. I proceeded (after going back and forth about the price, Eric wanted to charge me a "special $10,000 mark-up on top of the price due to the current market on these Black on Black GLS450’s" even though we had already discussed a price when I placed my FIRST ORDER MONTHS AGO!). When we were setting everything up, I had decided I wanted to proceed with the transaction in full in order so my credit wouldnt be effected for personal reasons. They proceeded to tell me that they needed to still run my credit and they needed 3 MONTHS OF MY PERSONAL BANK STATEMENTS. Let me remind you, this was a cash deal, I was not having my credit run and I was bringing them a check for the purchase. They fact that they wanted to see my personal bank statements is not only extremely intrusive but it is extremely personal and uncalled for. Since I was not going to provide these they proceeded without any warning to refund my deposit and refuse to answer my phone calls. If you care about customer service and having a good experience at a car dealership, stay FAR FAR AWAY from MERCEDES BENZ OF STOCKTON!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, THEY ESSENTIALLY STOLE MY DEPOSIT FOR 7 MONTHS AND THEN JUST RANDOMLY DECIDED TO NOT SELL ME A CAR! AGAIN, STAY FAR AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME AND MONEY! ALSO STAY AWAY FROM SALES PERSON PHONG TRAN... EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL, YOU WOULD EXPECT BETTER FROM A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP ~ NO DIFFERENT FROM ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP I GUESS. More
