I just purchased my fist Mercedes, C350 2012. I want to personally thank Shawn Abtahi at Smythe European located on Stevens Creek Blvd in San Jose, California for being an exceptional sales person. For the past year I checked out many different cars/dealerships, it was important for me to make sure the next car I purchased had everything I wanted and within my budget (I was not going to be an easy sell). Shawn at Mercedes was the only sales person who made it a point to follow up with me periodically to see if I had any other questions or if I needed to take another test drive to see if that would help me with my decision. Shawn is patient and professional. Even when it came to negotiating the price we worked together until I was 100% satisfied. Shawn is not that typical car sales person I experience with many other dealerships, far from it. Truly he is a class act, having many years with Mercedes; he is also a very knowledgeable sales person. I would buy another car from Shawn in a minute and would highly recommend him to anyone. I have also had experience with the finance, scheduling and maintenance departments and everyone has been very helpful and professional. Going forward in the years to come I hope to continue to experience the high quality of service with Mercedes. Now its not just the fact the dealership went the extra mile, it was in my opinion the brilliant work that Kamal did to get me in the car that i wanted. Always trying to keep me happy and not just sell me a car that was on the lot/in the showroom. Kamal was truly professional, and always keeping me in the loop, and providing options, never pushy, and super knowledgeable. I will definitely go back to Kamal and will always recommend him as my first choice. BTW my car is awesome, love it!!! More

I am so glad that I have purchased my first Mercedes from Nordean Felix at Smythe European recently. He is the most wonderful guy I have ever come across in my experiences with car dealers including Toyota, Nordean Felix at Smythe European recently. He is the most wonderful guy I have ever come across in my experiences with car dealers including Toyota, Honda and Lexus. I really enjoy my new 2012 ML 350. It's spacious and quiet. I definitely recommend Smythe European based on the following reasons: Nordean is very patient and professional – My wife and I went to test drive a C-class on the first Saturday. Nordean spent over an hour and a half with us. However, we found out that we have to place an order for the model we wanted and it will take 2 months to deliver. We didn't want to wait for that long and we told Nordean we needed some time to think about it. He was very professional and didn't give us any stress. Then we went to test drive in the next Saturday for a GLK and ML. Nordean is still very patient and professional to help us. Nordean is honest and not pushy – He asked me if I owned a Lexus and that could be eligible for a $2000 rebate. I saw a review from the internet that one other dealer in Seattle area told the customer there was only $1000 rebate. Jim in Finance department is very easy to deal with – During the process of financing, Jim went through all the options that I could purchase with the car but he gladly took NO as an answer for the options. Most dealers (eg Honda) will keep talking you into buying more options such as alarm, extended warranty, wheel locks, … etc. Even Lexus will also hard sell the options. Favorite features: * Quiet and spacious. * The ride is smooth. The car seems to handle bumpy roads quite well. * I like the Premium 1 package - 10GB of Media Storage is convenient to transfer my audio CDs there. - The rear view camera is quite wide angle and it's very useful. It's also very clear even at night. - The voice COMMAND control is very useful to enter destination for Navigation Improvement suggested: * The rear mirrors should be bigger * Fuel consumption is high More
I established my relationship with Goran Muftic, Smythe European Sales Consultant, when I built my Mercedes Benz E550 2012 in July 2011. He had been keeping me update regarding the status of the car. Finally the car arrived at Smyth European Dealership and Goran called on Nov. 2. On Nov. 3, I picked-up the car. He was very friendly and hospitable. He explained in detail the purchase of the new car and the trade-in of the old Mercedes Benz C350. He also explained the items included in the package. After the car was paid, he came to the car showed and demonstrated how to operate the different features included in the package. This is my 3rd Mercedes Benz, so far only Goran who took the time to explain and demonstrate the advanced features of the car. Overall Experience: Sure there were hickup's but once I got back to dealing with my sales agent things were back to smooth flow. Customer Service: With regard to scheduling appointments and tracking them they are surely well organized. But there are always times when things get mixed up. But once I touched base with Omar things went smoothly. Our experience was slightly short of the excellent just because of the confusion that ensued for a day. More

What dealer says that!!! even if they low balled me it would have been a good deal for them. They are part of the "Auto Nation" network...what part of Nation are they not getting? Told the rep to forget it...who wants to deal with someone who doesn't give a crap about your business More

The Sales Mgrs tried to pretend they didn't know about this. Don't buy the Service A & B contract, purchasing it when you need it was less than buying it up front. Rude- The moment after I bought the car, I was told "we lost money" on the car we sold you. Ahh yeah..never in a million years would a dealership do that!! The first six months my car was constantly being repaired..I drove it for a total of two months max. It was always in the shop for a week at a time and getting a courtesy vehicle took an hour each time. They once gave me a car where the trunk lid kept flying open multiple times as I drove less than a mile away from the dealership. My car was certified as "ding free" yet there was a ding on the roof. My car was supposed to be "detailed" which I postphoned till later since it was going to rain. When I brought in for the replacement of a cracked Burl wood trim on the door they just ran it through the water rinser in the back and after pointing this out to the service advisor Jay x 3 it was finally taken care of. Btw, The "new" Burl wood trim had a chip on it. When I brought it back in for replacement they bumped my car into something & damaged the front bumper that had to be REPAINTED! All the while, my car had been making a loud "ticking" noise coming from the right rear side of the car that sounded like roulette wheel slowing down when I came to a full stop & a rattling noise when accelerating at a slight incline. I was told they couldn't determine the problems so basically as far as they were concerned there weren't any. I insisted they test drive & check it again the morning they wanted me to pick it up & low & behold they found the problem (the fuel line was twisted?! When I picked up my car one of my chrome rims was damaged! Of course, they denied it & after alot of hassle they agreed to replace it...they took a used beat up one off another car & put it on my car without my consent. This was completely unacceptable & they reluctantly shipped a pair from the "chromer." Which arrived scratched because were not packaged correctly. Four more were sent with imperfections & scratches which I was forced to select from because I was told "there weren't anymore available." I was so disgusted with Smythe European at this point I just wanted to get it over with. The rattling during acceleration & slight inclines was not resolved until now. They had a service technician with poor hearing ride along with me who "didn't hear anything." I requested a different technician and finally had it resolved...broken piece of Fuel pump in Cadallitic converter & adjustment of Octane sensor. Against my better judgement I took my car there to have the Service A completed and they DINGED my front passenger side door of my "Ding Free" car!! Big surprise they denied it..stating that Jay & Mike (Service Mgr)had documented (after I dropped off my car and left) that my car had other dings, etc. Neither the Service Mgr or Service Director were there so I had to get the General Manager of the dealership involved because there was no way I was driving my car off their property without aknowledgement of the ding. I challenged Jay to show me the other dings, etc they documented & he could not show me one!! The General Manager's opinion was that my car was very clean!! He reassured me that they would take care of it...oh my gosh when I went to go pick it up it looked like they put "White Out" on it!!! It went back to the Body Shop..still could see it but it was much better. They offered to send it back and after all the drama I had been through I just wasn't willing to risk them damaging my car further!! I spoke to Rob Meiter on multiple occasions about their carelessness & incompetence and asked him why I would return?? He just made excuses. Obviously he doesn't care about improving their service or their reputation. More
