Great customer service by Payton Lloyd Mr. Lloyd really impressed us with his friendly smile and great attitude even though he wasn't directly involved with the purchase of our vehicle. Eac Mr. Lloyd really impressed us with his friendly smile and great attitude even though he wasn't directly involved with the purchase of our vehicle. Each time we visited the dealership, he approached us with that smile and asked how we were liking our new vehicle. It's very refreshing to see a young man like Payton who truly likes his job and represents the friendly customer-service orientated attitude of this well run dealership. More

Best Car Buying Experience To-Date I had been working with John on finding a new S-Class for a few months now. Just two weeks ago I finally went in and finalized and now I have the keys I had been working with John on finding a new S-Class for a few months now. Just two weeks ago I finally went in and finalized and now I have the keys to a brand new, beautiful 2015 S-550. John helped with informing me about so many aspects of buying a new S-550. We discussed on numerous occasions whether I should go for ordering a new 2016 or simply purchase a 2015. He was of phenomenal help throughout the entire process, from explaining functions to how pricing generally works. He provided phenomenal service. I also worked with Adam who was crucial in helping to gather all of the paperwork as John was out on personal leave for a couple of visits we made to the dealership. Adam worked tremendously hard to ensure that our experience with Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte was nothing but of the platinum level of service and satisfaction. Adam and John were incredible in accommodating our needs and desires from Day 1. There is no other dealership or salespersons I would deal with for any future besides John and Adam. John is a tremendously knowledgeable and hard working, genuine person. Adam, too, is nothing less. I will recommend John and Adam to any and all of my family and friends looking for a no-hassle, stress-free, and superior car-buying experience. Thanks to both John Glaser and Adam Putnam, I am happily driving around a beautiful S-550 with which I am now truly in love; I would not change the experience for anything at all, as it was truly the ideal experience at a tremendous dealership with even better people, John and Adam. Best Car Buying Experience I Have Ever Had I have been buying cars for almost 40 years and this is the best experience I have ever had. I have always left dealerships with some regrets. This I have been buying cars for almost 40 years and this is the best experience I have ever had. I have always left dealerships with some regrets. This was not the case with Eduardo Prego or Mercedes of South Charlotte. From beginning to end this was an excellent experience. Everyone was friendly, helpful and honest. Eduardo Prego was friendly, helpful and went the extra distance to make sure that I would be happy with the car that I purchased. He did not use any pressure tactics. He wanted me to buy the car that I wanted. The deal they offered was fair and straightforward. There were no surprises waiting for me when I met with Pat the finance person. He was also helpful and honest. I actually enjoyed the entire process. I will be coming back to this dealership in the future. I wish they would open up a satellite in Columbia, SC. More
Wish I never dealt with this dealer. First contacted Safa about a CPO c63. At first he appeared to be very nice and answered all of my questions since I live 550 miles away from the dealership. Liked everything and did the paperwork via mail, arranged a date to drive down and pick up the car. June 23rd I made the trip and picked it up myself and drove it home. July 2nd after having driven less than a 1000 miles I text Safa the following, "I know you said the car got new brakes, it looks like the rotors weren't changed, only problem is that the brakes make so much noise that I try not to stop because it's unbearable. Any suggestions?" His response, "I believe the rotors were services too. I'm not at work. Gone on vacation. If they weren't replaced then they were turned within spec. They will make noise if they are dirty. But if they are noisy even clean, then warranty can look at it since it is a CPO car" July 3rd I arrived at the closest dealership to my house and they brought the car in to look at what's wrong where I was informed that the car needed new brakes all around and that they should not have sold me the car in this condition. July 9th the car is still at the dealership and the service writer told me that south charlotte is ignoring him and claimed the brakes wore out from aggressively driving the vehicle. The dealership told me I could pick up the car if I wanted to and that they couldn't go any further with this. July 13th I contacted Jeff Gourd. I was told that he is well known and would be able to help me out with this situation. As I was explaining everything, he tells me that these cars are "race cars" and they don't do this service for pre-owned AMG vehicles. As we were talking the phone call got disconnected or he hung up, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Called him back twice and left two messages without a call back. Called my dealership back and told him how that went, I was advised the following, "Good afternoon Jay, I would approach this by calling your salesman and giving him one more chance, in the case that they refuse to help call 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372). The brake specifications will be most likely requested front pads 8/32 and rotors are currently 34.34 and the discard specification is 33.4mm. In regards to the rear brake pads 4/32 which is right above the wear sensor note: rotors should be replaced due to the fact that excessive noise and pulsations generally will occur if you just put pads one due to the wear that’s already on them. You currently have 25,464 miles on the vehicle. Process might take a couple days but if they have any questions have them call us here. Make sure you let them know you just got the vehicle." Sent a text message to Safa, "Have you heard anything about this situation? The rotors are barely above the minimum spec and the rear pads are right about the pad sensor. I was told that just putting new pads on used rotors do cause pulsation and noise especially since these rotors cannot be resurfaced. Right now I can't even pass state inspection to drive the car. Need you guys down there to help me out here." No response. July 14th I call MBUSA and they brought the situation up to management, very helpful people at corporate level. Was told I'll have a call back in 48 hours from the management team at South Charlotte. July 17th I call MBUSA back because I didn't hear from South Charlotte. July 18th I get a call from Mike. Basically told me that the min spec is half the life of the rotors. Here in Pennsylvania the car does not pass safety inspection once the measurements reach minimum spec so I'm not sure where he came up with that. Then he proceeded to tell me the guys that came to pick up the car didn't look professional and probably caused damage when they drove it. He quickly changed his tone when I informed him that I was the one who picked up the car and he's talking about me. I told him he can take the car back and I can take my business to another dealer, he laughed at me and told me its my problem now. By the end of the conversation and not resolving anything he basically told me to go pound sand. July 19th I call mbusa again and tell them how that conversation went. They had a regional manager who contacted me immediately who told me they would talk to the dealership. Once again, great service. July 23rd I get a call back from mbusa and and was apologized to on behalf of the company. I was informed that they were told that if the car got new brakes the price would have been much higher and they did it to keep costs down. Mbusa also informed the that even though what they did was wrong, by technicalities it passes the cpo criteria and its up to the dealership I bought it from if they want to resolve it. By the end of July the car would not pass safety inspection for Pennsylvania, I've gotten citations from the police for not having my car inspected and I'm stuck putting new brakes all around on a vehicle that I just purchased. Still to this day (Aug 15th) I am not able to drive my car. Proves to show how the salesman lied about the maintenance on the car and management making up lies to cover up everything. This is what I get for trusting a CPO vehicle and a true meaning to the term "stealership." Clearly brakes are not a priority which also means the safety of family and myself means nothing to this dealership. I know this will probably get deleted very soon, don't worry, I'll post it everywhere I can to let your customers know how you treat them. More
