Buyer Be Aware: Horrible Service and Stealership Attitude I have dealt with 5 different MB Dealerships and MB Sarasota is absolutely the WORST. Service Dept is overzealous in recommending repair/replacements I have dealt with 5 different MB Dealerships and MB Sarasota is absolutely the WORST. Service Dept is overzealous in recommending repair/replacements and is definitely in a "Gouge the Customer" mode. on Dec 27 my vehicle had a minor leak in a coolant hose. Was told by Jason Lewis, Service consultant, that it was going to take 6 hours and cost $1300. Next day, got 9am call that car was done. When I went to transact he said $1300; while fetching my car, I read their internal report. It showed 46 minute Repair/Mechanic Time and a small part that cost $64. Their internal cost showed $194, but he was insistent upon billing me $1300 ("the gouging part"). I refused payment; they brought in Service Manager who lowered bill to $600 (should have been $200). Interestingly enough, the Service folks were not aware that I was in process of Special Ordering a new 2018 GLS. I ended up departing from dealership and going elsewhere the next day, transacting $95k Special Order. I will never ever step foot into this place, after multiple incidents of overzealous repair recommendations, overcharging, and smart xxx remarks like "it is what it is" from Service Consultant Jason Lewis. MB USA should revoke this Dealership's "franchise license". I am also drafting letter to MB USA. More

It is painful to see......I did not mention that my new set of tires were installed on a wrong way. Really. Inside out! How can such thing happen at MB? Tires were reinstalled, but my trust is gone. I question the 4 1/2 star rating for vehicles service. More

I have had to take my car back numerous times for the same issue, each time with a different diagnosis, and charges, it was if they were practicing trial and error, the customer service was excellent, but the service stinks Have seen numerous service managers and reps turnover, The best so far is Tom Devine, seems to really care about the customers and getting the job done correctly, But it has definitely been and experience, you must really have patience and be firm when dealing with the service dept, More

We left the country for a couple of months and when we returned the warranty expired. xxxx, bad luck for me. so i called the lead service adviser on 1-21-17 left him a voice mail message and still have not heard anything back. I called again a couple of days later and was transferred to a service adviser who, again didn't answer, I left him a message and have HEARD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I'm not sure what the deal is with this dealership but they have xxxx poor customer service and would not recommend them to put air in my tire.... Jim More
Bad diagnosis of steering problem I brought my older C-Class here to address a shuddering when turning at low speeds. They diagnosed it as either a power steering pump or steering rac I brought my older C-Class here to address a shuddering when turning at low speeds. They diagnosed it as either a power steering pump or steering rack, which seemed plausible. I agreed to have them replace the pump because they said they found metal flakes in the fluid and it was the less expensive of the two repairs. Total cost was $1600, which was a lot for a older car, but it's still in good shape so I thought it was worth the investment to get a few more years out of it. Unfortunately, the pump replacement did not fix the problem. After doing further Internet research I learned that there's a known problem with older 4Matic cars where the clutches in the transfer case cause shuddering when turning at low speeds. This was exactly the problem I had reported, and I would have expected the factory service people to know about it and mention it. There was even a Service Bulletin that provided free repairs for certain vehicles, but apparently mine was not one of them. Overall, the people there seem nice enough, but I feel that I paid a lot of money for a repair that did not fix my problem and that I did not get good advice on the possible causes. I'll look elsewhere for future repairs. More

Expensive and done twice to fix once. I have a very low mileage out of warranty AMG. Took vehicle in for repair incredibly expensive when I picked up the car I had to return it for same i I have a very low mileage out of warranty AMG. My cost we're almost doubled. I currently have a Porsche 911, Jaquar XK and Ford Expedition with roughly the same mileage and non of the challenges. When I ask the service writer why I needed to spend so much on this vehicle his response " my friend has an XK and has spent a lot on it". No points for creativity ! More

Characteristics : arrogant, liars and fakes I will never in my life step foot in this dealership again. They have tons of people they get from mercedes of sarasota that say this. LOOK AT THE RATINGS ON THIS PLACE. Speaks for itself.. The GM that runs the show is the worst of them. I can write a book on this dealership and include all my emails to the GM and Mercedes Corporate but I dont want to waste my time. Brought the car in there multiple times 3-4, issue was reproduce with multiple techs while i was their, reproduced by service manager and none of this documented in service request details. I sat with the GM and service director who stated they would NOT update the service documents with the exact details they told me. Then Mercedes of Sarasota told mercedes corporate its not an issue and working as designed. The GM belittled me while in meeting with him and 2 other folks, lied and unprofessional and arrogant. Then belittled me on the phone after walking out of his dealership. I've sent in all my complaints to corporate and who knows where that will go. All I know is i would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I'm just writing my experience and opinion of this dealership but let your research show the same. Its not just me that has issues with this place. Look at this quote from their website..
