Mercedes Benz Sarasota is hands down the best dealership for service and sales! For the last ten years or more I have purchased and serviced my vehicle here. Place is n embarrassment! Well where do I begin. My wife and I made an appointment for a standard oil change when we pulled into service area we waited 10 minutes till some id Well where do I begin. My wife and I made an appointment for a standard oil change when we pulled into service area we waited 10 minutes till some idiot kid wandered over to us my wife told him we had an appointment and our name he basically mumbled he would see if he could find someone to help us. We then watched him wander around talking to other idiot kids he then proceeded to try and find someone to help us. When he returned after keeping us waiting for 20 minutes my wife asked him his name he mumbled Kyle and told us he could not find our appointment my wife turned to me and said let's leave I agreed and we proceeded to schedule with German Motor Cars where we were treated like they cared about our businesses. Sarasota Mercedes is a total joke. More
Horrible Customer Service We made an appointment for yesterday for work that should have taken an hour, and they forgot about our car for two hours! Seriously, we waited, asked about it, they were working on it, finally another hour later we went to look and found our car outside the garage, running, with the door open, flashers on, and paperwork on the dash. They hadn't even brought it into the garage for the appointment. No appology, no reschedule, we wasted a morning and they just made excuses. After this dealer was acquired their customer service became horrible. That is the reason we didn't buy another Mercedes. Love the cars but they need a serious overhaul in customer service. More

Owned many high cars, but the number of Mercedes that have to serviced including mine is so great that dealer has no loaner cars for 2 weeks for a warranty repair that will take more than 24 hrs. I got much better Service from Toyota dealer on my pickup than Mercedes! Check Consumer Reports. Mercedes has nothing recommended. To many horror stories from other customers I know. More

Erroneous Recommendations Huge Prices I recently took my Smart Car (engine by Mercedes) in to fix a recalled item. They took care of the problem item efficiently and then called me to re I recently took my Smart Car (engine by Mercedes) in to fix a recalled item. They took care of the problem item efficiently and then called me to report several needed services. One was replacement of the engine mounts which was $700 plus. Second, replacement of front brake pads for $300 plus, and lastly, an oil change for $125 plus. I called my regular mechanic and asked about his doing these repairs. He said he didn't have the parts for the engine mount replacement but he could replace the front brake pads for $150 and do an oil change for another $50. So, I told Mercedes to replace the engine mount and paid them. I then took the car to my mechanic who took the wheels off and said I didn't need new brake pads--they were worn less than half way. So, I ended with an oil change and a bill for $56--as opposed to an estimated bill of almost $500 at Mercedes. I am appalled that an organization of the stature of Mercedes Benz would tell a customer that they needed repairs to their car that were not, in fact, needed. Now, of course, I wonder of I really needed to spend $700 to have the engine mounts replaced. If you can't trust these companies with huge, international reputations, who can you trust. I am very disappointed and disgusted. More

Reviewed service order, they recommended replacing ' unsafe tire's told them no...took vehicle in 30days later for a malfunctioning shade, reviewed service order..miraculously the same ' unsafe tires' now passed inspection and no longer unsafe..go figure...they like to try and fool you...and probably get over on women and seniors. More

They refused to back up their warranty work I brought in a car that they repaired and told me that I had a two year warranty on parts and labor.I brought it back for the same problem 11 months l I brought in a car that they repaired and told me that I had a two year warranty on parts and labor.I brought it back for the same problem 11 months later and they refused to acknowledge the problem or back up the warranty they said that their workmanship had. Now I need to bring it somewhere else and pay again to have it repaired. Don't have your car repaired at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota. There exist many other options in Sarasota. Independent shops with certified technicians. More
Expensive Service I just took my vehicle into MB of Sarasota with a nail in the tire. I told them all that I needed was the tire repaired and nothing else, since I had I just took my vehicle into MB of Sarasota with a nail in the tire. I told them all that I needed was the tire repaired and nothing else, since I had had a $750 scheduled maintenance a week prior. They did not tell me the charge, but I had previously visited numerous MB dealers for nail repair with a charge of less than $30 in all cases. When completed, they billed me $59.86, which I said was outrageous. The clerk said she would discuss with the Service Mgr, but he refused to adjust the price. Further, the receipt says I requested a multi-point inspection, which I did not request and specifically told the service advisor to "just fix the nail". I have dealt with 5 different MB dealers over the past 3 years and this is by far the worse service that I have experienced and I will drive to another dealership for service in the future. More
