My wife and I were looking at a new C class mercedes. We drove to the dealership to look and test drive the vehicle to make sure we liked it before buying it. I have to say from the salesman Don to the sale drove to the dealership to look and test drive the vehicle to make sure we liked it before buying it. I have to say from the salesman Don to the sales manager Tim to the finance lady Gemma this dealership is really a professional first class organization. My sales guy Don was outstanding and really knew a lot about the vehicle. He gave us a lot of information and never once tried to pressure us into buying a vehicle. I really liked his overall laid back very formal approach to sales. It made my wife and I feel very comfortable in making a more informed decision to buy the vehicle. I also have to give kudos to the sales manager Tim. He made us feel like our business really mattered to this dealership and he made us feel like family. In my opinion, that helped seal the deal on us purchasing a car from this dealership. I would recommend this dealership to anyone whose looking to purchase a Mercedes Benz. It's our first, and I'm sure it will not be our last. More
This dealership is definitely a 5-star experience! After due diligence and inquiring with over 4 other dealerships, I chose to purchase my new E350 from MB San Diego. Despite their low online review rating due diligence and inquiring with over 4 other dealerships, I chose to purchase my new E350 from MB San Diego. Despite their low online review ratings, I am happy I gave them a chance to earn my business. My salesperson, Jim Jones, was outstanding. He went out of his way to provide top quality service, prompt communication, and very competitive pricing. He made the entire process from finding the right car, financing, explaining all the features, to picking up the vehicle quick and painless as ever. I preferred the 5 hour drive from Las Vegas, NV to San Diego rather than dealing with other dealerships in the SouthWest. If you're considering purchasing a Mercedes, ask for Jim Jones, he will exceed your expectations. More
I bought a used Mercedes Benz on 3/17/12 from another dealership and was told to take it to a Mercedes Benz dealership as they were unsure about the state of the running lights. I visited Mercedes Benz o dealership and was told to take it to a Mercedes Benz dealership as they were unsure about the state of the running lights. I visited Mercedes Benz of San Diego today (3/24/12) and two salesman asked how much money I had and then they would show me how to turn on the running lights. I told them I had $3.00 cash on me and they said they would take it, and promptly showed me that I needed to pull on the headlight knob. After this demonstration, one salesman asked for my car key and said he would show me "something cool" that the car does. I sat in the car and he shut me door, and held down the buttons on my car key. The car beeped and then nothing happened. When I reopened my door, he said that my windows should have rolled down, but they didn't. The second car salesman said the he hoped I didn't pay too much for the car. I left the dealership with my car, and when I parked it to lock it up and run into the store, the car wouldn't lock. I drove back to the dealership and was told it wasn't their problem the key no longer worked. The salesman tried to fix the key, sat in the car and tried again to no avail. Then he changed out the battery. Still not working. Finally, I asked for the Service Manager and was told he was out until Monday. I then asked for a Manager to make this situation right with my car. Robert O'Reilly came out and told me his salespeople were paid on commission and my car key issue wasn't their problem and to get off his property. I told him he needed to make this right, and he said he did not, nor did any of his sales people and to leave immediately. He gave me his business car and told me to feel free to escalate it, but nothing will be done about it and laughed. The original car salesman just stood there and said there was nothing he could do about it. "Just drive it around for a few days and see if it auto-corrects" or to take it back to where I bought it. I told him that he is responsible for fixing this, and he said it wasn't his problem. More

Did not hear from my service advisor, so I contacted him around 12pm, he said he would look into it and get back to me. My service advisor called me back almost an hour later, around 1pm and said the service was complete, it was in line for the complimentory car wash and my vehicle would be ready for pick-up at 2pm. Vehicle was delivered late and without the car wash. Thumbs down!!! More
Went in to buy a used car. Very unimpressed on how they all looked. For a Mercedes dealer, they should be ashamed of the condition that their cars are in. all looked. For a Mercedes dealer, they should be ashamed of the condition that their cars are in. More
bought a NEW E550 from another dealer, but live near this one, and try to support local business...anyhow, my mom wanted a new GLK350, so I took here here in my new E class. Told the "greeter" that we are i one, and try to support local business...anyhow, my mom wanted a new GLK350, so I took here here in my new E class. Told the "greeter" that we are interested in buying a new GLK350. a sales rep came out, told him the exact car we want (equipment, color, and we want a buy, not a lease). He assked me if we have a trade,a nd what car in mins. I pointed to my E and he had the xxxxx to ask me if we can afford anotehr mercedes! At that point, i made up my mind NOT to buy from this place, but thought we should still take a test drive and if we liked it, we would go make a drive to newport beach where I got my car and get it from them. He showed us a few "basic" models, and I asked him about the one we wanted. He said that a sunroof is $1050 more and asked again if thats is in my affordability range. I told him that its fine and lets go for a test drive. Here comes the clincher...his response was, "we are really busy with the big sale, and to come back when he has mroe time"! Regardless of them being a local business, I will NEVER set foot on their lot again! More
Leased a car from them a few years ago. Had a very negative experience with the sales rep who treated me like xxxx once he saw that I wasn't going to buy, but rather lease. And lease a "certified pr negative experience with the sales rep who treated me like xxxx once he saw that I wasn't going to buy, but rather lease. And lease a "certified pre-owned" car at that. Then, the few times I took it in for service, I always had a negative experience. I stopped taking the car there. This past summer, I started receiving tons of flyers, letters, even phone calls, all reminding me urgently that my lease is up in a few months (oh my!) and hurry to buy the car, or buy a new car, or lease a new car -- do something, for god's sake! I have zero intention of doing anything with this particular dealer. I might very well return my leased car, then immediately buy a mercedes from another dealer. More
I have had only one problem with my 2006 R350. About one year after purchasing the vehicle the SRS light came on. I was informed that my vehicle required some service campaigns to be done to fix some known year after purchasing the vehicle the SRS light came on. I was informed that my vehicle required some service campaigns to be done to fix some known weak points on the vehicle. I was immediately helped as soon as I drove up on the service drive. The service advisor, Tommy, was already for me (I had to wait half an hour past my appointment time at Escondido), and had my car checked in and I was out of ther in 15 minutes. To my surprise all the work was completed that day. When I came to pick up the car the interior was cleaner than when I left it and I know they had to remove alot of parts in there. I couldn't even tell that they were there. Escondido left me with fingerprints all over my interior when I got it brand new! I have since taken it back for a service and still have no complaints. I am happy to pay a little extra for full vehicle inspection because most of the stuff will be covered under warranty. Love those guys there and will continue to take my business there. More
I wanted to test drive a new Mercedes C350 sedan. The first sales jerk was an Arab or Middle Eastern guy. Rude and arrogant he passed me onto a nicer guy who was clueless and nervous. I drive a nice BMW. first sales jerk was an Arab or Middle Eastern guy. Rude and arrogant he passed me onto a nicer guy who was clueless and nervous. I drive a nice BMW. When I asked the bonehead to test drive a new C350 coupe he did not have one on the lot which was a flat out lie. These guys are clowns and rude. I will never buy a car from them. The Mercedes dealer in northern California (MB of El Dorado Hills) was nice and let me test drive an SLK350 coupe. These idiots cannot even begin to fathom customer service. Funny the Lexus dealer down the road was much nicer to me and spent time with me on a test drive for a new Lexus. More
these people shouldn't be allowed to sell cars, they are worse than used cars sales people selling beaters.

upon walking in with a friend of mine, the first words out of their mouth was "who's riche worse than used cars sales people selling beaters.

upon walking in with a friend of mine, the first words out of their mouth was "who's richer? i want to talk to the one who can afford a car today." i knew immediately they thought i was too young to afford their cars. (in my 20's) i politely ignored his remark and asked to be shown an SL55, the car I came to look at. Instead of showing me the car himself, they refer me to 3 different people until one of them finally decides i'm worthy to talk to. he was probably a new guy as he didn't know anything about the car i was looking at except, "it's pretty sweet, huh?" uninspired to buy the car, i leave.

the guy that initially greeted me was outside and saw me as I unlocked my BMW 5-series to leave. he then walks up to me and asks "can i help you with anything else?" i didn't even bother to respond.
