Customer Service is lacking I'm comparing Mercedes of Sacramento to Mercedes of Rocklin. The only reason I choose Sacramento is because it is a couple miles closer to my home. I I'm comparing Mercedes of Sacramento to Mercedes of Rocklin. The only reason I choose Sacramento is because it is a couple miles closer to my home. I called Mercedes of Rocklin and they were extremely helpful from the moment they answered the phone. I explained I was there for Service B and the lady immediately asked me if I knew what that entailed. I let her know that I didn't know what was included and she went over every detail. I called Sacramento Mercedes to schedule the appointment the lady that answered the phone didn't explain the service to me until I asked her and she only gave me a few details not the complete list like Rocklin did. However, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. My appointment was for 8:30 am and arrived at 8:25 am. When I arrived I was greeted by two young ladies and was informed that Patrick McGarrity was my service host and he would be with me soon. Patrick didn't show up until a few minutes after 9:00 am and didn't give much of an explanation! I was waiting at the check in area sitting in my car for over 30 minutes!!!! I was there watching other people come in and out in a few minutes. The Service Department should have sent someone else over to assist me if Patrick was too busy. I was the only customer waiting from 8:45 am until Patrick showed up. When he finally appeared he was not very personable and seemed very rushed, he didn't explain the details of the service I was getting until I asked and seemed only interested in adding additional services that I did not come in for. I told him that I had been waiting for over 30 minutes and that I thought their customer service all around so far was lacking! I've been to other Mercedes service centers in Southern California and I must say they are far superior. They treat people like gold and go the extra mile. Too bad Mercedes of Sacramento doesn't step it up in the customer service and hosting department. From this point on I will go to Rocklin Mercedes. More

Wait in heat to get car During a recent routine maintenance ($1000), while I guaranteed a loaner, when I arrived one was not available and I had to wait to be driven to renta During a recent routine maintenance ($1000), while I guaranteed a loaner, when I arrived one was not available and I had to wait to be driven to rental car office, fill out the paperwork, etc. (Yes, MB covered it, but the point was for me to not waste time which is why I scheduled when a loaner available.) This added an additional 20-25 minutes. Upon return I had to go to the rental car first, get checked in and another ride back to the dealer. This was AFTER the technician called to say my car was ready. Of course, my payment was promptly taken and I was directed to the waiting area for my vehicle. This was 3pm and 100 degrees+. I sat there, sat there, several other customers came after me and picked up their cars and left. After 20 minutes, the nice young lady asked if anyone had helped me with getting my car; no. She stopped the "runner" and asked him to get my car as I had been waiting. He seemed a bit bothered, but went to get my car. She had pointed me out as to whose car it was, so he knew who I was already. When he brought up the car, not only did he turn off the car instead of leaving it running with the AC on (I was 20 feet away), he also then locked the car. Walked passed me and gave the keys to the young lady. She apologized for the wait (25 minutes). I suppose I should have said something earlier but I would think after dropping $1000 I would be paid a little more attention. I have found a local MB specialist that now has the opportunity to earn my business. More

Room for Improvement There was room for improvement in my service. I had to come back 3 times to deal with hard water spots on my black car and to finish up paperwork. The hard water spots on my car should never have been an issue. If it was detailed correctly, the sales and services folks should have seen them. There was also an issue of the price...during negotiation, they came back with a price over the MSRP! I have never had a sales manager do this and it almost caused me to walk out. While I'm happy with my purchase, I should have received the "Mercedes-Benz" experience and I didn't receive that. Because of this I can't give an excellent review. This was my second MB purchase. Next time, I would expect more attention to details from the sales and service staff. Ken Summut, from finance, was excellent to work with! More
