So much for "The Best or Nothing" as nothing is what I got When you purchase or choose to own a Mercedes Benz, some things may be more important to you than others in your decision. One reason might be becaus When you purchase or choose to own a Mercedes Benz, some things may be more important to you than others in your decision. One reason might be because it is "Engineered like no other car in the world". However, I certainly didn't expect the "Nothing" from the Mercedes Benz Service Department. I also own a 2000 C230 which I bought used in 2002. This car has been expertly maintained by a local Mercedes Garage called Silver Star which specializes in only Mercedes. However, when I leased a brand new E300, I decided to have my service performed by the Dealership; after all, it is really still their car. Anyhow, from the insanity of them locking the keys in my 2018 E300 (How in the world is that even possible) to them not wanting to assist me in making an appointment ( I was informed by the Service Writer while sitting at his desk that I needed to call the 800 number to schedule all appointments, they do not make appointments while you are in their facility in person) to them not providing the service as requested ( I had brought the car back for a warranty re-application of Cila-Jet, which they then turned into just a detail and still the car was covered in spots and now the inside windows are filthy from the detailers leaving residue on the inside windows when wiping them down. I NEVER requested they detail my car. I requested an outside Cila-Jet re-application. I would be grateful for a detailing, but not a sloppy one. If you are going to do something... do it either the best that can be done or do not do it. Hmmmmm, that sounds like it should be a slogan). Anyhow, if you have a choice, I do not recommend Mercedes of Sacramento for your service. Oh, by the way, when they locked the keys in the car, they blamed it on a faulty proximity sensor. I asked that they troubleshoot that if that was indeed the problem as I had never had a problem with that entire system and in fact have never been able to lock the keys in my car. Funny thing is, now, my drivers window squeaks when rolling it up and down. I wonder if they had to "Break into" the car and now it has THAT issue. Who knows as they weren't truthful to me in any of my dealings. More
