I live in commack and leased a car in July. It's a 300c. I was driving home from JFK airport and my check engine light came on. The car was jumping and not staying on gear. I called Roadside assistance and they were NOt helpful.I called the closest Mercedes dealer and Carol was a LIFE SAVER. She told me to come to her dealer and she would get me a loaner car and to be careful while I was driving, . I drove 20 miles per hour with my hazard lights on and when I got there she was so nice. Jason Ferraro was also delightful and helpful. This was a frightening experience in a 6 month old car. It turned put to be a loose connection on some board associated with the transmission. carol was the best! More

FIRST OF ALL I AM A CAR ENTHUSIAST THAT IS WHT I DRIVE A MERCEDES. THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE LEFT ME TO THINK THAT THE AGENT THINKS I DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN ORIGINALLY FOR A B S MERCEDES. THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE LEFT ME TO THINK THAT THE AGENT THINKS I DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN ORIGINALLY FOR A B SERVICE AND TO REPLACE THE AXLES. I FIRST REQUESTED THAT I DID NOT WISH TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE. ANTHONY ASSURED ME THAT VEHICLE WILL BE FINISHED BY THE END OF THE DAY. WHEN I CAME BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY TO PICK UP THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT HAVE THE AXLES IN STOCK SO I HAD TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE. ANTHONY TOLD ME THE AXLES HAVE BEEN REMOVED SO I HAD NO OPTION BUT TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE. I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT THIS WAS DISCUSSED BEFORE I LEFT THE VEHICLE. DUE TO ALL THAT HAPPENED I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THEY DID THE WORK AND ENSURE EVERYTHING IS OKAY WITH THE VEHICLE. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC TO GET THE CAR INSPECTED WE FOUND OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING AND THE SERVICE CLOCK WAS NOT RESET. EVEN MY MECHANIC WHO DRIVES A MERCEDES HIMSELF TOLD ME HE WAS SURPRISED SINCE THEY HAVE A SEALED TRANSMISSION.I CALLED TO BRING THE CAR IN AND THE AGENT HAD TO SCHEDULE ME FOR ANOTHER DAY AND SO I COULD NOT USE THE VEHICLE. I WAS DUMBFOUNDED WHEN THE SERVICE AGENT TRIED TO ENCOURAGE ME TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH A LEAKING TRANSMISSION. I TOLD HIM TO ARRANGE A TOW SINCE I WAS COVERED BY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. WHEN I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY TOLD ME THERE MAY BE A CHARGE I CALLED ANTHONY BACK AND HE ASSURED ME THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THE TOW. I WAS HOWEVER BILLED FOR THE TOW. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT WORK ON MY TRANSMISSION EVEN THOUGH THE WORK ORDER AND RECEIPT FOR THE B SERVICE INDICATES "CHANGE TRANSMISSION TRANSFER CASE OIL". I HAD ALSO REQUESTED THEN TO CHECK A RATTLING NOISE IN THE LEFT WHEEL AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO CHANGE BOTH OF MY STRUTS. WHEN I GOT A SECOND OPINION FROM TWO SEPERATE MECHANICS THEY ALL TOLD ME IT WAS ONLY THE LOWER CONTROL ARM. I AM THEREFORE DISAPPOINTED TO PAY TWICE FOR SERVICE,FOR THE TOW EVEN THOUGH I WAS ASSURED I WAS NOT GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE, FOR MY SERVICE CLOCK NOT RESET AND FOR TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR STRUTS WHEN I DID NOT NEED THEM. ANTHONY ALSO LED ME TO BELIEVE THEY WERE GOING TO HONOR MY DEALERS FREE OIL CHANGE WITH THE ROUTINE MAINTENACE WHICH I HAD SHOWED HIM IN WRITING BUT THEY DID NOT. More
I had a variety of questions regarding a extended warranty that I had purchased for my father, when I purchased a vehicle for him. My father is 72 years old and does not have a great command of the English language -- so he is more comfortable bringing his vehicle to a local Mercedes dealership -- that dealership will not provide him with a loaner vehicle and to date has told him that any and all work that was done on the car was not covered under the warranty. This information may be correct -- but Samantha was willing to review the receipts from the other dealership to verify the information! She really went above and beyond my expectation of any customer service center -- especially an auto dealership! I had visited several Mercedes-Benz dealerships, prior to purchasing at Lakeview -- I had terrible experience at a particular dealership which could best be described as "arrogant". I was completely turned off to buying a Mercedes -- but my father wanted a Mercedes and by chance after visiting a client one day I drove past this particular dealership and pulled over in front of the dealership and made a call regarding the type of vehicle I was looking for, pricing etc. The salesperson made me a lot of promises over the phone -- I told him that was parked in front of the dealership and was all going to walk in with my checkbook and if any part of our conversation was going to be different -- that I wasn't going to buy the car. Needless to say he kept all of his promises and I purchased a vehicle that day. But the most amazing part of my current experience, is that my father refused to drive the 15 minutes to half-hour to go to the original dealership, Lakeview Mercedes.Though I've tried for years , Samantha spoke with my father and was able to convince him to go to their dealership to get the comprehensive service he deserved and also made an arrangement for a loaner vehicle...WOWWWWWW!!!!! Truly amazing! -- My many thanks to Samantha and the management team at Lakeview Mercedes for training and retaining such wonderful staff! More
Very friendly showroom staff. They were very courteous and attentive without being overly aggressive to sell. Recptionist remembered my name after the first visit which impressed me very much. Dealership grounds were extremely clean and orderly which gave a very positive impression of the overall operation. George was an extremely attentive sales rep, friendly and could not do enough to make us happy with our first MB. He even gave us his personal cell number which we could call with any questions. Your understanding of the situation was to me comforting initially, and impressive later, when I received a call from Carol who informed me that your Service Center would replace the part as soon as I was able to drive the car there. Brought my 2007 E350 in for service. Car had a whirring Brought my 2007 E350 in for service. Car had a whirring noise in the front wheel. I told them that I suspected that it was a wheel bearing. They told me that since I have the 18" sport rims, they are all bent from driving over pot holes and, that is why I have the noise. They quoted me like 300.00 per rim for the fix, which I declined. When I picked up the car, since I didn't go ahead with the work, they charged me 175.00 for "diagnosis". I told them that I thought that this should be covered under warranty, and they told me that it considered "road hazard" I also told them that there are many people on the internet that have the same complaint that I do concerning the wheels...they basically told me "too bad, it's not our fault". I have never had a car where all 4 wheels were bent. I live on long island, 55 years old....not like I beat the crap out of the car. I took the car to an independent shop and had the wheels fixed.....I had the same noise! About 6 weeks later, the noise got very bad and I went back to the dealer. This time, they told me that it was a wheel bearing, the same thing that I told them it was when I first brought the car in. They told me that they will fix it under warranty and I told them that I wanted my 175.00 back because they misdiagnosed the problem 6 weeks ago....they told me they couldn't do it. I have had other small issues with them as well. The woman that makes the loaner appointments is nasty as well. My car is now coming ready to be turned in and, believe me, I won't be going back to Lakeview to get the next one. More
