I have returned to Lakeview Mercedes-Benz three times at the end of a lease, to lease a new M-B. When I was introduced to George Glier at Lakeview Mercedes, I was at the end of my C300 Sport lease with Huntington Mercedes. I tried to return to Huntington Mercedes, hopeful they would appreciate a Mercedes, I was at the end of my C300 Sport lease with Huntington Mercedes. I tried to return to Huntington Mercedes, hopeful they would appreciate and welcome the return business. Boy, was I mistaken. They wanted to work a deal, a RAW DEAL at best. After 3+ years of lease relationship with Huntington, the best they could do was absolutely try to rob me blind. Disenchanted, I began to search and included, Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, VW and even Ford. There were some very pleasant sales folks along with way, but the vehicles were all falling short of the MB experience. I was then introduced to George. He was friendly, gracious, informative, helpful and most importantly, straight-forward, honest and genuine in his enthusiasm to get me back into a Mercedes Benz. Unlike the Sales Rep at Huntington Mercedes who to simply describe it, acted like I should be honored to be in his presence, get a moment of his time, and have him sell me a car. What a 180 degree difference with my experience with George Glier at Lakeview. George asked the right questions, and gave the right answers when I inquired. It was truly a pleasure working with him and I look forward to working with George and Lakeview again when my wife is ready to shop for a new vehicle. I need to start out by stating that I visited 4 dealerships; namely; Silver Star, Huntington MB, Smithtown MB and Lakeview MB in Rockville Centre. I had the opportunity to interact with a salesper dealerships; namely; Silver Star, Huntington MB, Smithtown MB and Lakeview MB in Rockville Centre. I had the opportunity to interact with a salesperson at each dealership and obtain information and pricing about the car that I was interested in-2011 C-Class Sport with various options. Needless to say, I was not at all impressed with Huntington or Smithtown MB. I found the salesmen to have poor attitudes and unwilling to give the best deal possible. Although this was my first MB, I have owned BMW's in the past and had never experienced this type of negativity towards a perspective buyer. When I spoke to a friend about my negative experience she stated, "go to Lakeview and see Craig German. I bought my car from him and he was great." Well, my experience changed when I walked into Lakeview and met CRAIG GERMAN. From the very beginning, Craig took the time to explain the car to me, as well as the various options that were available. We discussed pricing and it was evident that after speaking to Craig and Tim S. that they would not lose a customer over price. Over the next few weeks, Craig kept in contact with me negotiating the price of the vehicle and the options that I desired. He was patient, kind, humorous, and attentive. On Thursday, July 29, I arrived at the dealership to find the car awaiting my arrival. There was a minor glitch with one form BUT, Craig immediately rectified the problem. He then took the time to sit in the car with me to explain the features in detail, sync my phone, etc. The entire experience in speaking with both Craig and Tim S. was the MOST ENJOYABLE car buying experience for me. I love the car, the ride, options, and most importantly, the way that I was treated as a customer. If you want to be treated with respect and professionalism, go to LAKEVIEW and see CRAIG GERMAN. He was able to work out a great price for the E class which was a demo which I truly wanted. He also worked with the insurance company to ensure that the car was ready for pick up on 07-23-11. Usually once a deal has been completed the sales person does not provide the same positive and friendly attitiude. Once the deal was completed and I drove away, he called to find out how I was doing. I appreciated his warmness, concern and pleasant attitude. George was truly a pleasure to work with. More
