Impossible to get a hold of anyone in the department to find out when my car would be ready. Made appointment online, car wasn’t serviced until next day. We think the dealership, at least the service center has a problem with training and keeping people. I made an appointment to bring the car in for repair of leaking oil and told "sure, bring it in". When we arrived we were told that it would be at least two weeks before they could look at it, and that we were number 60 in line for a loaner. Pretty inconvenient as we live 40 miles south in Carson Valley. Called about two weeks to see what progress had been made and was told they knew what was wrong, but they couldn't get parts because "their truck was broken down." It was another week before the car was ready. When we picked. it up, we discovered that although we asked for a detail of the interior, none had been done. Unfortunately we have NOT had a great experience this go-around. We have taken our van here for repairs two other times and haven't run into THIS bad of service. We brought our sprinter van to get fixed for two items on November 11th, 2022. Our van is STILL in the shop as of today, April 2nd, 2023. When I initially called for updates, the (now separated) employee never gave me a call back. It took us going in person on February 20th to get re-assigned to a new service rep, Marlon, and get any kind of answers as to what is going on with our van. Marlon has been great at maintaining communication and updates. When we left the Mercedez-Benz dealership after being re-assigned technicians on February 20th, we were promised that a part "just got in" and our van would be in the shop and fixed in the next couple days and we could continue to get updates. Here we are, another month and a half later, and the updates Marlon kindly provides have not changed. When asked why our van hasn't been added to the shop yet, we were told that there are 75 vans in the shop that need fixed and only two technicians. When you have a dealership in an area that clearly has the demand and needs for more van technicians, why are you NOT meeting the demand? I have a list of concerns as a result of our van remaining stationary for a prolonged period of time due to neglect. I verbalized these concerns during our Feb 20th visit in person. We recognize it is not the fault of the messenger who is assigned to give us updates, but this severe lack of service displays an unprecedented level of unprofessionalism due to lack of support for your mechanical team and customer. The following items we expect to be checked and resolved due to vehicles being idol for a prolonged period: Dead batteries (house and vehicle), interior water/leaking damage, tire flat spots & engine block rust. We intend on making sure this facility remains liable for all damages incurred as a result of our vehicle not being serviced for a prolonged period, and the overall lack of communication. More
