I purchased my car GL350 2014 from Mercedes-Benz of Orange Park three years ago and have done most of my repairs at this dealership. Unfortunately, my last two service experiences have completely broke Orange Park three years ago and have done most of my repairs at this dealership. Unfortunately, my last two service experiences have completely broken my trust. The first issue was a broken AC compressor. The service advisor made an error in reporting the claim, leading to an unnecessary dispute with the extended warranty company over what should have been a covered repair. While the Service Director eventually corrected the mistake, the process was exhausting and frustrating. The final straw was an oil leak from the front of my car, which I suspected was related to a previous timing chain repair. After four days of diagnostics, they told me I needed to replace the oil filter housing and the vacuum pump. I also reported a metal noise from the front of the car, which they said was caused by a loose heat shield that they tightened. After approving the repairs, I reviewed the mechanic’s statements sent via SMS. The first mechanic discussed an old oil cooler leak and other leaks but did not mention the oil filter housing or vacuum pump as major concerns. The second mechanic, however, noted small leaks in the oil filter housing and vacuum pump, classifying the pump leak as minor. Based on this conflicting information, I decided to opt out of the vacuum pump replacement, as the second mechanic’s assessment seemed more reliable. I was charged $259 to tighten the heat shield, which was supposedly included in the diagnostic fee that would have been waived if I proceeded with the repairs. Additionally, I paid $621 for the oil filter housing replacement, including $202 for the part itself. The total cost of repairs was $1,186 with taxes. The worst part? When I got my car back, the metal-to-metal noise was still there—clearly, the issue was never properly diagnosed or fixed. I recorded a video as proof and emailed the dealership to report that the noise remained and to request a refund for the repair of the loose heat shield, but I received no response. Adding to my frustration, the two different mechanics provided two different diagnoses in their respective videos. This inconsistency left me questioning whether my oil leak was truly fixed, even after paying over $1,100. Given the contradictions, I am not even sure if the repair I paid for was necessary or effective. To make matters worse, the service advisor later asked me to leave a review about my experience. So here it is: My experience was terrible. I will never buy another car from Mercedes-Benz of Orange Park, nor will I return for service. Until I receive a proper response regarding my refund request, I will stand by this decision. Lessons learned: • Always review the mechanic’s video before approving any repairs. • Get a second opinion from a third-party mechanic before trusting the service advisor. • Take a test drive before leaving to make sure your car is actually repaired. I never expected such a poor experience from a Mercedes-Benz dealership as a loyal customer. More
This is a great dealerhip for purchasing a new or use vehicle, but my review is concerning the courtesy wash, I have had my 2023 GLB250 wash 3 times & each time things seems to get a little on the lazy s vehicle, but my review is concerning the courtesy wash, I have had my 2023 GLB250 wash 3 times & each time things seems to get a little on the lazy side, unless things have change with the courtesy wash program, normally they would text you when your vehicle is ready, lately this has not happen with the last 3 washes, my car is still wet along with the rims, seems to me the courtesy is basically a drive thru wash & thats complete, I ask the gentlemen about the car still being wet, he stated was wrong, so I'm assuming this service has been a cut back service at the wash station, he ask me do I wanted tire shine, I stated yes sir & please, did I received it, no. Maybe the car wash station has been busy at each time I arrived & they do not have the cleaning time they would give when the station is not busy. But if all I get now is a drive thru wash, please let me know, then there will be no surprises on my end ho I receive my vehicle back. Still my favorite dealership for purchasing a Mercedes, I must say. More
