It gets worse! M-B customer service did contact the dealership, prompting a manager to call me at the end of the day. For the first time, he admitted they had not sent me the title because they have been unable to remove a lien that exists on the title!!! And he estimates it'll take another week to get it resolved! It is incomprehensible that a M-B dealership would even advertise a car for sale that didn't have a clear title, let alone take someone's money, put it on a carrier, and ship it 800 miles away. Tomorrow I'll be back on the phone, but this time with the Illinois Consumer Fraud department and/or the Attorney General's office. What a nightmare.
