BEWARE of having your car serviced at Mercedes Benz of Morristown. My car has been stolen from THREE times at this dealership; I even filed a police report when I picked up my car this last time on 9/10/1 Morristown. My car has been stolen from THREE times at this dealership; I even filed a police report when I picked up my car this last time on 9/10/13. I contacted the owner, Bill Straus, who was condescending and disrespectful. He even asked me why he should believe me that there was money stolen out of my car on three different service appointments. Bill Straus and Herman Diaz, the Service Manager, are not only not customer service oriented but they are combative and unwilling to do what is right by the customer. Bill Straus’ solution was a $150 service credit at his dealership - because after all of this, that is the first place I would want to take my car back to for service after paying $384 in labor to be stolen from for a third time (my total service was $694.40 for Service B). Bill Straus at Mercedes of Morristown is "the best or nothing" at its finest. More
I brought my S-Class here for service one time and it was horrendous. My car had been hit by a deer, so we brought it here for service just this once because they had a body shop. The service was horrible. horrendous. My car had been hit by a deer, so we brought it here for service just this once because they had a body shop. The service was horrible. When we got the car back, the bodywork was good, but it had huge problems when we got it back. When we got the car back, the AC wasn't working! The whole climate control was very close to being dead! We never had these issues prior to bringing it to Mercedes-Benz of Morristown. So, we brought it back to the dealership to have them fix it, and they claimed that they fixed it, but it still wasn't working. I believe it took 4 tries until they actually fixed it. Keep in mind that we had not had this issue prior to servicing the car there, and even after being hit by the deer, the car climate control worked perfectly. This only happened after having bodywork done and servicing it at Morristown. The fact that it happened in the first place is unacceptable for a Mercedes-Benz at a Mercedes-Benz Dealership, but even more the fact that it took 4 different visits is unacceptable, the quality of work is horrible, and I will never go back here again. I have always serviced and purchased all my Benz's at Mercedes-Benz of Bridgewater and they are much better in all respects (even if they send you somewhere else for the body work, it's well worth it. The service is also amazing there. See my other review). Please don't use this dealership, the quality of work, customer service, and my overall experience were horrible, if not unacceptable. More
Mercerdes of Morristown has no quality control. 7/30/2013 I brought in my CLS63, AMG for two rear tires and an alignment. It took three days and they damaged one rim. They stole 9 quarters out of 7/30/2013 I brought in my CLS63, AMG for two rear tires and an alignment. It took three days and they damaged one rim. They stole 9 quarters out of the ash tray (there were exactly 20 quarters for parking at the train station) and went for a joy ride in my car. The mileage they recorded as the after service mileage, was 5 miles less then when I received the car back. When I dropped off my car my SA was not there. So they sat me at his desk to wait. After all of the other customers that were behind me in line were taken care of , another SA helped me. It was only a 10 minute wait, but I arrived 15 minutes early so I could get in and out quickly. The last service issue I had took four visits to resolve. The GPS would cut out as I drove for 3 to 5 minutes. On the fourth visit it was repaired. I presently own an Audi, two Fords, a BMW and this Mercedes. I have had great service at every other dealership, I expected quality service from Mercedes. Morristown BMW continues to exceed my expectations. More
I drive in my CL55 AMG in for service and they give me a Toyota , what happened to my Rolls Royce loaner? Go to an independent repair shop and they tell you to get a ride home. All kidding aside, it is asha Toyota , what happened to my Rolls Royce loaner? Go to an independent repair shop and they tell you to get a ride home. All kidding aside, it is ashame that most of the satisfied customers never write. I on the other hand I own two Mercedes and have delt with Ed Salwan as my service advisor and have had no problems with any of my service. I on the other hand was not looking for a two for one special. The service has been nothing but professional and satisfactory. I do recommend this service dealer, and the out of warranty service pricing has not been out of the norm. My in warranty service on the new Mercedes has been great. More
This has got to be the worst dealership I have ever worked with. I have owned BMWs, Lexus and other luxury autos. This is the first time EVER; that I have felt this angry, that I actively want to wri worked with. I have owned BMWs, Lexus and other luxury autos. This is the first time EVER; that I have felt this angry, that I actively want to write. When I bought this new E350 they sold me a policy I paid over $800 for, protecting me against bent wheels and damaged tires. I brought my car in for service TWICE for the same problem, which is wheel shimmy at high speeds. Today I was told that the insurance company I bought the policy from changed their policy regarding repair of these unless they meet a certain criteria for damage. And the dealership wants me to pay for what they call blow out test costing $40 a wheel, which I never had to to pay previously. Unbelievable. When I bought the car, I also had them apply something called boomer shine to the car. They buffed my car to prep it and caused swirl mark all over the front and rear hood. A year later, they finally made good and compounded the car to get the swirls out but only the front hood. They wouldn't do the rear hood because there's a ding in it and they didn't want to be responsible for any damage. Oh, and when you drop off a BMW or a Lexus for service, they give you a car of like or better quality. When you drop off your Mercedes Benz, they give you a Toyota Camry to use. I guess Mercedes Benz wants my next car to be a Toyota. And finally there's their attitude. All this above and they treat you as if I should accept everything they're saying to me because they're Mercedes Benz. These people have forgotten that they're selling a product to the public and if the customer isn't happy, they won't return. I sure wont. I don't want to beg for service I paid for when I purchased my vehicle... Buyer beware..... More
Not sure what all the complains are about. I take my ML 350 for service to Morristown Mercedes, and my experiences have been quite good. I have taken by SUV there for normal servicing as well as for rep 350 for service to Morristown Mercedes, and my experiences have been quite good. I have taken by SUV there for normal servicing as well as for replacing bulbs, getting a oil leak checked out etc. and they have always treated me well. I get the loaner car in time and usually out of the door in 30 minutes. They also don't hassle you about the mileage on the loaner car. Another good thing about this dealership, the appts are typically very easy to get. More
I was greeted upon driving into service area by a nice young man. My service advisor, ed Salawan, was very helpful in explaining everything to me and providing me with great service. They found several small problems with my car and showed me how they could end up being big problems if I didn't address them. I recommend this dealership over any other in northern nj. More
This is by far the worst service I have ever received. Not only do they take forever to fix my car, they make mistakes and refuse to accept responsibility for it. It took them more than 30 days to repair Not only do they take forever to fix my car, they make mistakes and refuse to accept responsibility for it. It took them more than 30 days to repair a dent in my car because they did not check the alignment of my car the first time and had to order car parts weeks after their initial assessment. My insurance only covers 30 days for a loaner car, yet Mercedes refused to accept responsibility and loan me another car, costing me extra hundreds of dollars because they needed over a week extra to fix my far. Customer service is absolutely disgraceful. They are completely disorganized and do not do anything that they say they will do. I cannot tell you the number of times that I have called to check up on the progress of my car only to be put on hold for 20 minutes and then to be told that it would take a few more days longer than they had said the last time I checked. Additionally, nobody will return your phone call if you ask someone to leave them a message. If you leave them a voicemail, they will not call you back either. Mercedes of Morristown gives by far the worst service that I have ever experienced. More
