My experience with the service department has been nothing but EXCEPTIONAL. I have now met with my service advisor, Troy P., twice since I visited this location and have been impressed each time. I trust him and take his advice seriously because I have experienced his sincerity and depth of knowledge. This man is a Rock Star at Morristown Mercedes Benz!! I need to also add that everyone I encountered here in the service department has been pleasant and welcoming. And, in today's world of nonchalant, pretentious and mediocre service at best, to actually experience GREAT customer service is a Blessing indeed! Always pleasant, always expensive, always imperfect. Since we have moved into the area, I have done all my service here--about 4 services. Every time the service department insists that certain repa Since we have moved into the area, I have done all my service here--about 4 services. Every time the service department insists that certain repairs are critical in nature. These are always large repairs that require $5-10k plus. Every time I decline the extra repair, and the next time I come in when I ask about the previously emergent repair they say no, but this other $5-10K repair needs doing. Out of four times I have brought the car in for a dealer service, once they left the intake manifold off (the car stalled on the highway), once they took the $100 start stop button (they replaced it), another time they 100% failed to reconnect a plug in the engine bay (the car ran poorly). This last time we brought the car in for a service an issue that rendered the car inoperable. We OK’ed an overpriced repair. They called after it was repaired and when we picked it up it was not repaired. Their next solution was to replace all the pretty much every component of the system at issue for an exorbitant sum. They charged a substantial diagnostic fee, I am left to wonder what they diagnosed if their only answer is, "I don't know, lets replace everything?" I had tested about half the components they wanted to replace as good a few days before bringing it in but ran out of time. We Ok’ed a replacement of a single component and the car was fixed. When we got the car back they had not done the basic service/oil change that we had paid for and been billed for, based on obvious indicators. Although the service person is always pleasant, I think it is time to go elsewhere for us. More
