Hi, Thank you for responding to my email and I do apologize for not responding to your email earlier as I wanted to confirm some facts prior to responding to you. To recap the events of discussion, the vehicle had a few items to be checked including replacing the passenger side tail light. At first there was no issue with having an auto loaner. I asked Joel what was the charge for the tail light work and he broke it down as $1200 for the tail light assembly/light fixture and $400 for the labor for a total of $1600. I told him that there's probably a mistake as I had researched the part and I knew ballpark figure what the genuine part cost should be. At that point he started to get defensive and his mannerism was extremely rude and aggressive. When I told him to hold off on the tail light work he said it was too late because he had already assigned a technician to the work. Finally he agreed to not proceed with the tail light work but then he did not want to provide a loaner and the other work on the car would basically take all day so he expected me to stay at the dealership the entire day. My appointment was at around 9:30 am. Obviously I was not wasting my day at your dealership so I cancelled all of the work. He was rude every step of the way. I went to a different dealership, who provided me with a loaner for about 2 weeks, they resolved all of the issues and the tail light cost was broken down as follow: genuine MB part $385.00, labor $75 (typically $200 but the sales advisor gave me a better rate as installation takes less than 20 minutes). Total with taxes was a little shy of $500. Not sure if that was intentional.....but because of the mannerisms, if felt intentional.
