Best service dept on Long Island. My experience was my 1st time. I met Nicky the GM very nice guy. He put me in touch with John from service. John was very nice and helped me with all my questions. A/C need repair due to warm air blowing and musty odor coming out of a/c vents. Service dept was very professional and pleasant to work with and to get the job done. Made an appointment for an oil change on a 2016 sprinter arrived at the dealer was recommended that I do a two year service because this was my first visit although the vehicle only has 5200 miles on it Ser arrived at the dealer was recommended that I do a two year service because this was my first visit although the vehicle only has 5200 miles on it Service included oil change cabin filter brake flush fuel filter etc. had $100 coupon and a mailing card stating all fluids were complementary including the DEF fluid on arrival back at the office I noticed that all the fluids were charged on my receipt and that the DEF fluid was all over the engine compartment as it is easy to tell because it turns white including brake fluid spray all over the right side of the engine compartment wasn’t happy about that Flush the engine compartment with water to get rid of the fluid and DEF The vehicle was finished in approximately one hour which is not a long wait but seems to me it might Have been rushed More
I normally get great service from Mercedes of Massapequa. But the service this last time was AWFUL. First, I had to wait almost an hour despite having a pre-arranged appointment which I showed up for ON TIME But the service this last time was AWFUL. First, I had to wait almost an hour despite having a pre-arranged appointment which I showed up for ON TIME. My Advisor had apparently lost someone’s car keys and he was running around trying to find them. Finally they had to assign someone else to help me.The “back-up guy” wrote up my order and got me into a loaner. At that point it was around 10:30 a.m. Normally when I drop my car off by that time of the day I get a phone call later in the afternoon telling me my car is ready. I got no phone call that day. No phone call the next day. On the 3rd day I sent a message to my original advisor (the guy who misplaced the car keys) because he was still officially assigned as my service rep. I got no response to the message I sent asking for a status on my car. On the 4th day I called the dealership to find out what was going on with my car. They put me hold for a few minutes, then came back to the phone and said “you’re Advisor will call you back directly in a few minutes.” About an hour later my original Advisor called me and said he sent my estimate to the wrong phone number. He immediately mentioned something about the brakes which they were going to work on.. I interrupted him and told him I wasn’t having my brakes done. My car was just in for routine service,, state inspection, a tire replacement and a check on my left brake lamp. That’s it. He responded and said: “Well, OK. If you don’t wanna get the brakes done, your car is ready and you can come pick it up.” I asked him to please text me my invoice (like they NORMALLY do) so I could pay my bill before I get back to the dealership. About a half hour later I get a long estimate (not an invoice, an estimate) with a whole bunch of service options with the prices asking me to either approve or decline each individual service. Included in this list was a brake job totaling about $2000. This was in addition to the services I had actually requested plus some other things which were sort of thrown into the estimate. I immediately called my Advisor back and asked him AGAIN if he could please just send me the final invoice only for the charges of the services which I had requested (not brakes or anything else). My brakes were fine BTW. Finally he sent me the invoice and I paid it online. I went back to the dealership and waited awhile for them to wash my car (despite being told my car was ready).. If my Advisor (who seems like a very nice guy) had just picked up the phone and CALLED me to discuss the issues with my car and give me a proper, professional consultation, I might have been more inclined to agree to having additional services done. However, the lack of communication and sloppy handling of my order made me just want to get my car back and get out of there! More
