Took our Sprinter van in for repair; airbag service light lit up on the dash. Dealer repaired the drivers side seatbelt and light went out; $700+. First time we used the vehicle after the repair, my wife a lit up on the dash. Dealer repaired the drivers side seatbelt and light went out; $700+. First time we used the vehicle after the repair, my wife adjusted the seat. The airbag dash light came on again. Returned to the dealer so they could investigate. We were told that a new problem with the seatbelt was not related to their repair and we needed to pay another $700+ to fix. We were not happy with this response, so we took the vehicle back home. We looked at our precious repair bill and the dealer did indeed replace the driver side seat belt buckle. When we did our own investigation we found the dealer tech used a zip tie to secure the air bag sensor wire but tightened it so tight that any movement of the seat would bind the wire. We Ordered our replacement seatbelt buckle online and did the repair ourself. It took 15 minutes. The dealer wanted to charge us $500+ for labor!!! Stay away from this dealer! The are incompetent or their business model involves bilking customers of overpriced vehicles with overpriced maintenance. More
