You made us feel so welcome and appreciated from the moment we stepped on the lot, it made all the difference in the world. I have to let you know that the experience is not the same elsewhere. I initially was very interested in a Land Rover vehicle but after the test drive and sales experience there, I promptly returned to Tafel. The customer experience was so dramatically different that it would be hard for me to imagine purchasing a vehicle from anywhere other than Tafel. I truly appreciate the transparency of the process at Tafel and I feel as though I got more than a fair deal each time we have gotten a new vehicle there. Our saleperson Todd was extremely knowledgeable about the car and coordinated our contact with each department. As with most used cars you expect a certain amount of wear and tear consistent with the mileage. This car was an exception. It was pristine in every regard including new tires all around. Lied to, deceived and sold a CPO in a deplorable condition My wife and I went to Louisville Kentucky from Michigan to buy a low mileage Certified Preowned 2014 GL450 because it has V8 engine. We were told th My wife and I went to Louisville Kentucky from Michigan to buy a low mileage Certified Preowned 2014 GL450 because it has V8 engine. We were told that the vehicle is as new as it came from the assembly line, only a small issue with the AC that was fixed. We were the happiest people in this world. We even wrote a positive initial review but....Not so fast. After 3.5 weeks the car was totally dead with the battery totally drained. We called the local MB dealership and when they started the investigation they found hidden underneath the damaged carpet, 3/4" round cutouts through in the floor pan, cut wires from an aftermarket device that was installed by the previous owner, welded brackets and burned from weld, metal debris, broken plastic panel, unscrewed underbody protection panels, ash from burned materials from weldings, missing plastic plugs, a total mess. We still do not know why the battery was totally drained nor the effects of the aftermarket device to the electrical system. The electrical system may be totally compromised because the overload introduced by the aftermarket device. We were told that it may be our fault because we did not look at the carpet, that was underneath the floor mat anyway. Now they are telling me that this vehicle had depreciated $6,000.00 in 3.5 weeks, if I want a new one I have to fork $20,000.00 and lose $4,000.00 for sale tax plus a new sale tax. In other words $35,000.00 extra because they did not disclose the mess. More
