I had been searching for a blue 2023 EQS 580 SUV for 2 months. I finally found one here. Problem is I live in Dallas, Texas. Solution...I get unlimited free flights as I work for an airline. I had 1 da months. I finally found one here. Problem is I live in Dallas, Texas. Solution...I get unlimited free flights as I work for an airline. I had 1 day off of work...a Saturday...... and flew to Little Rock to check out the car just to make sure it was as displayed. I rented a car and drove to the dealership. Upon arrival I was greeted quickly and the car was waiting in the showroom. I had previously advised them I was coming. The car checked out. I was happy with the condition and the price. I was willing to pay the price they offered....no negotiations. They offered a bid on my trade in...it was far lower than I had from a local dealer. Not an issue I told them I would sell it locally in Dallas, fly back and drive the 580 home middle of the next week. They raised their offer by $5500 for my trade in. Now it made sense to trade it in....problem was my car was in Dallas and I had to work the next 3 days. They raised their offer for my trade again and offered to ship their car and pick up my car. I watch far to much car Youtube to know about all the recent shipping issues related to cars. Not worth the hassle. The 580 had been on their lot for 2 months. It wasn't going anywhere. The pick up and delivery couldn't be done until middle of the week anyway as I travel for a living. ******This is where the old fashioned car sales came in.********** If I didn't agree today the offer for my trade would be lower on Wednesday. Really? They wouldn't get my car via transport until then anyway. Up until this point I was ready to buy. This just soured the entire deal. They pressed a little harder but I stood my ground. I preferred to do things the normal way...my car and the new car at the same location at the same time. I thanked them for their time and drove back to the airport. This is the ONLY Blue 580 SUV currently on sale as a CPO within 1000 miles of me. I want the car....but the classless statement of "my trade might not be worth the same in 4 days".....I politely emailed the salesman about my dissatisfaction with how it was handled.
