I recently purchased a car from Mercedes Benz North Houston, and I must say that it was an experience I will never forget, though for all the wrong reasons. While the experience with my salesperson, Gabriel, was a good one, and I would recommend him again — the rest of the experience was far from that. Let me start by addressing the first financing manager, who left a lasting negative impression. Not only did this individual demonstrate a complete lack of professionalism, but they also showed a complete disregard for my needs and preferences. Instead of working with me, the financing manager acted like a dictator, refusing to accept my check from Texas’ largest credit union under worries of “fraud”. I mentioned he is free to call and get wires, and was met with an “I’m not calling anyone”, in the most stuck-up tone prompted by him walking off. Additionally, when I spoke to my bank and had them offer an overnighted Fedex check, with copies etc — they declined saying they will not be able to release the car until funds are present. Having purchased over 12 cars in 10 years, this was a first. Their refusal to allow financing from my own bank was not only inconvenient but also displayed an astonishing level of arrogance. My salesperson was very understanding and promptly handed my file to another finance manager to try his best. Unfortunately, this one was no better. This finance manager kept pushing unnecessary add-ons and warranties that I explicitly stated I didn't need. I had to proceed with dealer financing but knew I would refinance ASAP. Furthermore, he failed to provide a copy of the 130-U allowing me to refinance — and when I asked for it I was met with a “We don’t typically give that to customers” to which I had to push to get. To my surprise, upon sending documents to my new bank — they were missing the dealer signature. Another attempt at maintaining their financing at a much higher than market rate. I had to push to get the signed copy of the document, something which should have been provided from the start. This is not only something to seriously look down upon, but illegal. The vehicle had some issues which were not disclosed, and should have been. This included a sagging headliner, chipped windshield ~.5”-1”. My salesperson accepted fault for not sharing the headliner sagging, and promptly had a manager come out to address my concerns with the windshield. They fixed the chip in the windshield, but I believe it should have been replaced. I still appreciate my salesperson’s attempts to address my concerns, and I know Gabriel was acting in good faith. If only the rest of the dealership had his professionalism and composure. Throughout this ordeal, I felt disrespected and disregarded as a customer. The sheer audacity of Mercedes Benz North Houston to treat their customers with such contempt is truly astounding. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and questioning the integrity of this dealership’s management. When we entrust our hard-earned money to a luxury brand like Mercedes Benz, we expect a certain level of service and respect. Regrettably, Mercedes Benz North Houston failed to live up to even the most basic expectations. I implore prospective buyers to think twice before considering this dealership, as their actions reflect a systemic lack of care for their customers. More
I brought my unit in because of error messages that DEF tank was empty and Collision Avoidance was inactive. Both were false readings, but could not be duplicated at dealership service department, so noth tank was empty and Collision Avoidance was inactive. I was very disappointed with the service department. Ms Hernandez was late for the appointment. This was my first visit to this dealership and it was not clear where the service wait area was and after Ms Hernandez was late for the appointment. I asked Ms Hernandez for a quote for a seat repair and she gave me some numbers on a "post it" pad. I was expecting a formal detailed quote. As I had a great experience with MB dealers in Atlanta I was expecting the same level of experience here - again big disappointment More
