You don’t need to be one way to be effective. And yet, there is something that all great sales people have in common – a special connection to their clients. The great ones build something really special, something that rises above a happy customer, a 10 on an NPS report. Sometimes you feel that gosh this person is just “on it.” A total pro of his/her craft, a person that makes me feel so happy, that you can trust immediately, that they want only what’s best for you. The crazy thing about Shaun was that it did not end like this, it started like this from his first text and it has not ended yet! Shaun was not just wonderful to me, he was wonderful to YOU. To his company, to his colleagues, to his work environment. I always say you can hear a smile on a phone call (I talk about this a lot as my team does about 70,000 calls a day). Well I could hear a smile in every text that Shaun sent me. You can tell he is happy at work and that is a testament to you and your leadership. It starts at home, it starts internal, great sales does. Taking care of those that take care of your customers. It is very clear to me that you and your leadership team take very good care of your team. If there was an 11 on an NPS survey, I would still try to color outside the lines to give Shaun a 12. He is the best, something I bet you very much know. Earlier in the week I was about to buy a car from a dealer close to me, but Shaun’s engagement was the difference for to jump on a plane, buy from him and then drive 1,200 miles home. It truly was.
