I stopped going to the Fort Lauderdale location about 5 Years ago. for the simple fact of getting over charged not once but every time I took my vehicle in. on my last visit to Fort Lauderdale location sev Years ago. for the simple fact of getting over charged not once but every time I took my vehicle in. on my last visit to Fort Lauderdale location several years ago. I needed a few repairs. and since I was going to have it there. I asked if they could check my suv lift gate. due to the fact my key fob no longer would close the lift gate. and was starting to give issues on opening. I also ask for them to check as to why my gas door open warning light was still randomly going off. when they have supposedly fixed the issue now 3 times. along with a few other thing. afterwards I get into a loaner and proceed on my way. being told that afternoon they would call me. and at the latest I should be able to pick my suv the following day. if I recall this was a Monday or Tuesday. it was not until the following day did the service guy call me. then he proceeded to give me the quotes of everything. oh for the gas warning light parts and labor will be $600, and on the lift gate issue parts and labor will be $900+ and so on.. I felt both were a little steep but I wasn't sure about the lift gate. I questioned the gas sensor. he said it is a faulty gas cap. I said ok. and the price of the gas cap? he states $40. ok so what we are going to do here is. you can order me a gas cap. but I do not want your Services for $600. as for the lift gate he made it sound complicated. so I said go ahead.. 3 days pass and I have yet to hear any news. so I call and they are waiting for a part for the lift gate. they thought they had one but just this morning realized they didn't. yet my vehicle was suppose to be done 3 days ago. after 10 days I am told I can pick up my suv. when I arrive he skims over the pages very quickly. I know something is up. I said you did remove the charge for the gas sensor yes? oh yes I did charge you the $600. only the $40 for the cap. ok where is the gas cap. oh I'm sure its in the suv. lets go check. never finding the gas cap, he assures me that they put it on at no charge for me. but I'm looking at the gas cap and I know its the one I already had. so then I question the lift gate. he states that they had to removed the bolts from the hinge at the top of the lift gate. and they had to repaint them. Really? they must have really wanted them to match perfectly. they even redone the scratch across the nut like it was before. he assures me the work was done. I try the key fob, it worked. so OK. I go in and pay the nearly $3000 service bill. to get home and looking over the bill. the charge of $600 was still on there. plus the $40. and two days later my lift gate no longer went down with the key fob. my gas sensor still randomly comes on 3 to 4 times a week. and calling Mercedes benz back. they said I was lying and that there mechanic and service man would never do something like that. my apologies for the long version. that was 5 years ago. since then I went to mercedes benz of pompano. except a week ago. my suv decides to breakdown and I needed to have it towed. I call mercedes, I let them know he battery light came one. the top off coolant came on. and the power steering went. the power steering happened once before so I pretty much knew the belt broke. steam started coming from the engine in front of the driver side. after waiting for 3 hours for the tow truck to finally arrive, at 2am. when I ordered the tow service. Fort Lauderdale was the closest and the closest to where I live. I also stated I would need a rental. so I agreed to have it taken there. BIG mistake. the next morning I get a text message from James he is going to be my service advisor. I told him the same thing I told mercedes roadside the night before. and also said, my front pax wheel bearing also needs to be replaced. he says a few WOW's and is going to check on it and text me back. few hours later he responds, we need to run a diagnostics to confirm but it looks like the belt is broke. the diagnostic is $219.99 per hour, and if you want us to check the coolant issues, the coolant diagnostic is $149.99 cause that is a separate test. are you ok with those charges. I pause and I say, before I agree, let me ask you something. he says sure. isnt it still customary that If you do the work the cost of those test are removed. um, um, um.. I think we can still honor that. I will have to check.. really? I was about to loose my cool. apparently he doesn't even know he own company he works for policy is. I also asked about the loaner car as I did the night before. he quickly says no loner. loaner cars are booked out. later he messages me once again. he first tells me, the v belt and tensioner and that is going to be $1446.00, then says their is a cracked pipe in the coolant system, that is going to be $608.00 he then says, the wheel bearing is another $1300.00and then he states I need new breaks and new tires and that was a few thousand. I stop him there. I said, tires are about 6-7 months old and still look new. except for the front pax. he then agrees. and I ask him if I can message in just a few. I wanted to tally up what he had quoted. came out to $3500. I get back touch with him and ask him is there anything he could do to get the price cheaper. he comes back and blows a bunch of smoke up my ____. and says $3000. I say ok. next day, my car isnt ready. the pipe wasn't in yet.. then Saturday comes and they pipe still isnt in yet. and I still do not have a loaner. he then tells me it will be monday morning. and finally monday night I get my suv back. I pay my bill and take it with me. when I arrive home, I notice on the bill where the coolant repair was broken down. the part did arrive on on that Friday at noon. yet I was told it didn't arrive until 3pm monday. and he even charged me for the diagnostics that he was suppose to wave. and my coolant light is already back on. and still hearing a whinning noise. Here is a great tip. If you go to the dealership and don't know exactly what model you want, Bryce Greenfield is the sales associate for you. Not only is he patient, low keyed and knowledgeable, but he don't know exactly what model you want, Bryce Greenfield is the sales associate for you. Not only is he patient, low keyed and knowledgeable, but he also asks the right questions to guide you to a vehicle that you will be happy with. Being long time BMW owners, and not too familiar with the Mercedes models, we started looking for a GLC300 SUV, then next trip decided to look at the C300. Some salespeople might start to get frustrated at this point, but not Bryce, he would encourage us, and say come on let's go drive this one. On the third visit we finally purchased the C300. There was never any pressure to buy, and he was a pleasure to work with. All the paperwork went smooth and truthfully, I thought we would pick the car up in a day or two, but we drove it home less than two hours later. Bryce's personality made this purchase fun and stress free. I will certainly refer you to any of my friends or relatives looking to buy a car in the near future. Thanks again Bryce. More
I went to the dealership today 11/26/2021 to buy an used E350 priced $29.994. The sales person (Joe Green) was very attentive while I was there and tried to work with me to get the deal done (my intension w E350 priced $29.994. The sales person (Joe Green) was very attentive while I was there and tried to work with me to get the deal done (my intension was to buy it today). Joe calculated the payment with a $3,000 down payment and a 5% interest rate for a monthly payment of $483.00. Everything was going well until the Financial Manager (Stephanie Thompson) told me that it was impossible to get the car at that monthly payment. She lied to me in my face saying that my credit score was 600 (when it's not) and that even with a 0% interest would never get to that monthly payment for an used car of that price. Then she said that I could buy a less expensive car under those conditions. I confronted her about the calculation done by the sales person and when she asked what method did he used I told her the car payments calculator in the computer. She kept lying to me about the payments ( she wanted me to pay over $624 a month even when she wasn't making any sense with her numbers (by the way, all this without even having the bank"s offer). Mercedes Benz of Ft. Lauderdale just lost a $30,000 deal, without counting the dealer"s fees because of her. She literally tried to screw me over. If you go there, always go with your own finance plan or you might be her victim if you're not firm with your budget. I'm on my way to the Delray Beach dealer to see and possibly buy a E400 they just posted. I would give -5 stars if I could. More
Be aware about the xxxx they are running. They are forcing you to pay $5000 over MRSP. claiming that this is how it works now. But at Miami dealership they do not charge 5k over MRSP. I believe they are illegally stealing refunds from customers. I never received my refund from my trade in. I was told by their finance person Stephanie Thompson that they don't transfer refunds to t customers. I never received my refund from my trade in. I was told by their finance person Stephanie Thompson that they don't transfer refunds to the new car you have to wait 6 to 8 weeks and I needed to notify her when I got my proof of payoff from Bank of America. I waited and waited and only received $ 614 I was expecting $ 5519. So after several months of waiting I went to the dealership and spoke to Jiff the general manager and their head of finance. I informed them of the many times I called and Stephanie refused to take my calls . While I was talking to the manager I saw a piece of paper on the top that was clearly FORGED. I took a picture of the paper where Stephanie Thompson violated the law and forged my signature twice once as me and once as my business owner. I immediately confronted the Manager and head of finance about the forgery as well as the request forged said my $5519 refund would apply to my deposit. Which is definitely a crime as we paid for the car cash and don't have a deposit. I got a call from the head of their finance dept several weeks later and the gentleman actually told me to get over it. ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP WOULD HAVE FIRED A FINANCE PERSON ON THE SPOT FOR COMMITING SEVERAL ACTS OF FORGERY. THEY DID NOTHING AND I ACTUALLY THINK THIS IS CONDONED AND ENCOURAGE BY THE MANAGER AS A BUSINESS OWNER IF I WAS PROVIDED PROOF OF A CLEAR FORGERY BY AN EMPLOYEE THEY WOULD BE FIRED. I AM PROSECUTING STEPHANIE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, AND HAVING THE ECONOMIC CRIMES DIVISION LOOK INTO IF THEY DO THIS OFTEN AND TO HOW MANY PEOPLE Autonation has acted disgusting throughout all of this doing nothing to resolve. They sent me 2 more checks which still was less than I was owed and this morning I found out they put a stop payment on one causing a return item fee. Can you imagine a company like Autonation allowing the forgery of signatures by employees. They have mine and my husband's social security drivers license etc so they clearly can see my real signature. I WOULD BE VERY AFRAID TO GIVE MY ID TO THIS DEALERSHIP AS EMPLOYEES FORGE SIGNATURES AND MANAGEMENT AND AUTONATION DO NOTHING TO PROTECT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY COMPLETE REFUND ITS 6 MONTHS LATER. xxx More
