Good afternoon. I chose Mercedez Benz - Fort Lauderdale by AutoNation dealership on my own. I called and asked to speak to a representative in Spanish and they put I chose Mercedez Benz - Fort Lauderdale by AutoNation dealership on my own. I called and asked to speak to a representative in Spanish and they put me through Eduardo Mancheno. With it I could ask many questions and concerns speaking both in Spanish and English, since this would be my first Mercedes car. He was very kind and professional until the end. I chose first 2020 GLA 250 for $30k plus taxes, so total became $33k. Then the next step was in financial unit with Randolph Fanfan and he explained to us that the car has short warranty. At that moment after several hours with Eduardo I was already tired, I didn't feel well with a headache, Randolph began to sell us extended warranty and maintenance with no detailed price in each position, about how much would the final price of the car, so when I got home I saw the price of the 2020 car went from $33k to around of $47k. It did not seem fair when for the same price I could get a new car from 2023 with a 48-month warranty. The next day we decided to call Eduardo and explain to him this situation that I rather switch to a new car and he was very kind and received us and explained to us what options he had. When we saw the numbers and since I had given an initial down payment of 10k I decided that it was fine. After we went to Randolph office and we told him flatly that we were not interested in any extension warranty and maintenance offered there, since that it was obvious to see that he was no longer the kind person of the previous day also we asked him how would be the interest rate since this one is a new car and said with no nice voice: it is the same. We felt oppressed, offended, with our self-esteem on the ground. I know sales because I have a business and I would never push clients to buy from me with that aptitud. That has to be very kind, without pressing concerns to fulfill client needs. At the end, I came to the conclusion that if I needed to buy another car, I would avoid such a pity situation with another service which belongs to premium class. Before we purchased the vehicle we let the salesperson know that one of the head rests in the back seat was missing and he indicated he would order us another one. On February 24th we requested an update on the delivery of the headrest and the salesman responded, "thanks for reminding me." Never heard anything more so when sent another email to the salesperson inquiring on April 10th, but did not receive a response. I called the dealership on April 19th and left a voice message with the used-car sales manager and they still haven't returned my call. Very frustrating..... More
