I purchased a car from here in August 2022, paid over $3,000 in documentation fees and still have not received the TITLE or LICENSE PLATE for the vehicle (I was even told that they did not have the title $3,000 in documentation fees and still have not received the TITLE or LICENSE PLATE for the vehicle (I was even told that they did not have the title from the previous owner AFTER they sold it to me). It has been 5 months! The office of rude every-time I call to get an update. I understand that there are delays with out of state purchases but this is ridiculous! I am now on my FOURTH Temp tag that is about to expire and my bank is threatening to increase my loan rate since they do not have the title. At this point the office is ignoring my calls and emails asking for an update. I’m going to have to get a lawyer at this point to reach some sort of resolution. I would go to another MB dealer before going here…this has been a nightmare. More
I received a recall from Mercedes telling me I should "STOP DRIVING MY CAR" that I purchased new from MB Fort Myers, the fault could result in brake failure with a risk of crash & serious injury, pretty "STOP DRIVING MY CAR" that I purchased new from MB Fort Myers, the fault could result in brake failure with a risk of crash & serious injury, pretty serious stuff right? You would expect that the dealership that sold you that car that could potentially crash or cause you serious injury to resolve without delay or inconvenience? You would expect the dealership to pull out all the stop and ensure the customer who spent $50,000 purchasing that car new was not inconvenience? You would expect not to be left out be left out of pocket, and Mercedes would do everything in there power to ensure your very expensive purchase was made safe for you and your family as soon as possible and without further delay and in a reasonable timescale? Then you would be wrong! The dealership will not provide a mobile inspection or provide a loaner car as per the recall letter. The dealership want you to stop using the vehicle without providing an alternative vehicle, without providing a timescale for the repairs, it may be months rather than days or weeks. They did suggest I rent a car for the unknown repair period while they repair the car that was manufactured by them badly and is now too dangerous to drive, yes!!! you got that right, me rent a car at my expenses while they repair the dangerous car they sold me! Have you rented a car recently? an equivalent size model/vehicle would cost circa $1000 a week, then I have to try and get it reimbursed, what if its the month? would you spend $4000.00 to rent a car because the car you already spent $50,000 buying is too dangerous to drive? Mercedes Benz customer service is non existent, I initially rang the Fort Myers dealership 5 times and only got voicemail (I think that tells you everything you need to know about a business) Finally after I rang MBUSA they rang me back, offered nothing other than rental a car, they accused me of insulting them because I suggested "once they have there grubby hands on the money they don't want to know" yes I did say it, and until they do something to resolve this issue then I'm probably right. More
