I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz from Mercedes-Benz of Foothill Ranch and had a disappointing experience shortly after the sale. Within a few days of buying the car I began noticing some vibration when going down hills while braking. I let it go thinking no way there could’ve been an issue with the car since it passed a CPO Mercedes inspection. But it got way worse then less than two months and only 1,388 miles, I began experiencing a dangerous braking issue, including soft braking and noticeable wheel vibration. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership and was informed that the front rotors are warped, with a repair cost of approximately $1,600. Brake components should not fail this quickly especially on a vehicle sold as “Certified Pre-Owned.” This strongly suggests the issue existed at the time of sale and should have been identified during the inspection process. Despite this, the dealership has refused to take responsibility. The main reason for purchasing a CPO vehicle is peace of mind and confidence in the inspection process.
