Buying my first luxury car had me quite nervous..Walked into Ray Catena MB of Edison and with the first hello I was hooked. Everyone from reception to the the sales people were great!. Salesman Artie Beyer was the best.He had 2 test drives set up for me he went over the cars with me and before I knew it my mind was made up. Artie was able to locate the color that i wanted and kept me up to date as to when I would be able to take delivery....He was on top of this sale all the way....On the night i went to pick it up we went over to the service center to show me where it was and where I would pull my car up for service. I thought this was great! I was glad Artie was there to share my excitement! He truly made this so easy!!! Thanks to all at Ray Catena you guys are the best! Thanks Artie for your patience!! I had not purchased a car in 10 years and was concerned about the whole negotiating process so I went through Sam's Club and was referred to Arthur at Ray Catena. Unfortunately, the dealership is over an hour from my house and I decided to buy closer to home. Even though I did not make a purchase, I would recommend Arthur to anyone in the area or anyone willing to travel the distance who wants to buy a new Mercedes. Working in the internet space, I know how providing your email address can cause an influx of emails to your inbox but Arthur contacted me just enough and was not over-bearing with his email and phone communication. My husband and I were very pleased with the customer service from the moment we walked through the doors. The receptionist and Leigh asked our names and were very pleasant and accommodating offering us service from the moment we walked through the doors. The receptionist and Leigh asked our names and were very pleasant and accommodating offering us and our daughter a cold or hot beverage. We were directed to the car selection we were interested in as we waited for our sales associate John Farrell. As not to keep us waiting, Timothy Antoniszyn did a wonderful job assisting us with a few selections along with setting us up with a test drive until John finished with another customer. John accompanied us with two test drives, unfortunately we had to leave abruptly upon return to the dealership and told John that we would contact him within a few days. My husband noted to me that there was no pressure by John to stay and speak the the manager; a practice experienced at other dealerships. My daughter and I returned a few days later and Leigh greeted us by name and again was very pleasant, accommodating and personable. I told John that I was't really satisfied with the selection in the dealership and expressed what I was looking for, he did a search of off site vehicles, found one that matched my requirements and within 20-30 min a service technician delivered the vehicle to the dealership. We went for a test drive and I was sold! We came back that weekend to finalize the purchase and Timothy did a wonderful job assisting us again as John was working with another customer. My husband handled most of that as I sat with my daughter and her friend in the reception area. As time passed, Robert Alfonso, the General Sales Manager came over, said my name along with a "Congratulations." I had never met him but was pleasantly surprised with the gesture. There are more accolades to be told but I think my point has been made. We had a very pleasant experience at Ray Catena Mercedes Benz of Edison and would highly recommend this dealership! Oh, the best part was John delivered "my" E350C to our home...and greeted my daughter by name...Thank you John, Timothy, Leigh and Robert for a great car buying experience!! More
I had always heard that Ray Catena dealerships provided great customer service, so I had high expectations upon arrival. And to be honest, these expectations were far exceeded. Everyone that I spoke with from the receptionist, to Len, Dennis, and others were extremely professional, candid, and welcoming. I never felt pressured and I was even made coffee and served chicken marsala while discussing various purchasing/leasing options and different financing opportunities. My wife and I went to test drive a GLK and an ML. We had setup an appointment but our designate sales person was unfortunately overdue delivering a vehicle to another customer. John came first to introduce himself and when his delivery went longer than expected, he handed me off to another sales associate. Handed! Not passed. He was sure to walk me over to my new sales associate. What's more, while we were waiting, we were asked by several courteous individuals if we were being helped. They offered us water, coffee, juice, etc. while we waited. I felt like I was a guest. This is how buying a car should be! The test drive person, Matt, had 2 cars ready for us, so we did not wait for the vehicles. We test drove the GLK, and then the ML. Matt was very knowledgable about the equipment and the options. He was sure to show us everything with which the vehicles were equipped. Matt was courteous and patient. When were done with our test drive, we were led back to Tim the new associate taking care of us. He was attentive, courteous, and very welcoming. Went on a hunt to find my toddler a lollipop. And most importantly paid him attention (after all, our son is the most important guest). Tim got us numbers for the vehicle and while they were higher than anticipated and we did not lease a car from them, I cannot say enough good things. No pressure and fast. We test drove 2 cars, got numbers, and left the dealership in under an hour. I highly recommend Ray Catena Mercedes of Edison. If you are in the market for a Benz, go here. More
