I had the distinct pleasure of working with Eric Gray twice in the recent past. His personable style made everything about buying a car much less stressful, not to mention entertaining and educational. H twice in the recent past. He is quite passionate about his craft and extremely knowledgeable about the historical underpinnings of the Mercedes-Benz brand. He shared stories about the early prototype of the line which truly made the Benz family come to life. He appreciates building relationships with his customers that will last a lifetime, and truly listens to all the nuances of what the customer wants and needs in a car. His positivity and team-oriented approach made all the difference when deciding on purchasing a car. Eric is a stellar member of the team at Mercedes-Benz of Easton. Everyone with the exception of our salesperson was nice to interact with. I would suggest more than one employee be available on the business/loan side. If more than one person is purchasing, you do have to interact with. I would suggest more than one employee be available on the business/loan side. If more than one person is purchasing, you do have to wait, which can be a time consuming process. Additionally, I don't feel that used vehicles be on the lot unless they are ready for purchase. One of the Mercedes smelled so bad on the interior, I refused to drive it. The interior was also pretty dirty. The vehicle I purchased (upon a more lengthy exam) had spills between the seats, etc. I personally don't feel that interior cleaning should be passed on to the buyer. Matt W., our salesperson, was friendly in the beginning stages. We were traveling more than 3 hours away and there were a few snide comments made that he was leaving early on the day we were able to come etc. He wanted the sale, so he ended up staying, but seemed irritated and inconvenienced that our schedules didn't match. He even went as far as to comment that he didn't realize I would be taking such a lengthy test drive (max 30 mins), when actually, when we were leaving he said take your time, go have lunch etc. Additionally, when you aren't familiar with the area, you tend to find your way around when you don't exactly know the test drive route, which may be a little slower. If I am purchasing a vehicle, I would like to know how it drives, so if that doesn't align with your schedule, feel free to leave rather than give customers a rushed and rude experience. Your schedule isn't my concern. Lots of people work at the dealership and you aren't an integral part to any sale. He also told me (when attempting to negotiate price) that the reason we traveled so far was due to their competitive pricing. Actually, the pricing wasn't competitive enough to make me drive 3+ hours, it was the fact that the dealership had the particular interior and exterior color I was interested in. Pricing was actually not competitive but aligned with other dealers. Overall, I would not do business here again based on the unprofessionalism of the salesperson and his excessive ego, which is unfortunate because we had great interactions with other employees that were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Some employees (including our salesperson) are not listed to rate. Side note: Cody G. is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, easy to learn from, exceptionally professional, and a great asset to this dealership. Very enjoyable having him go over car features with me. More
The team at Easton just made me feel confident and overall eased my mind when it came to the purchase of my car. I got a car that I could see my self in for a long time and thanks to everyone I had an overall eased my mind when it came to the purchase of my car. The team that worked with me up there consisted of Eric G, who was my initial point of contact. I reached out to him an hour before close and he responded with a comprehensive video custom made to me and the car I was interested in within about 15 min. I was impressed. By the time I finished the application it was closing time so the next morning Eric reached out with the finance options I had and we picked the one best suited for me and set my apt to meet in person for Saturday morning since I do not live in state. I arrived Saturday afternoon and we began the process. During this paperwork process I was introduced to Scott, and upon meeting him was told that I had the option to finance through MB and I was happy with this news because it was better for me. After purchase was complete I was introduced to Cody. Cody helped me feel comfortable in my new car showing me the ins and out of the beautiful technology held within my new car. He offered to take pictures of me with my new baby and didn’t make me feel weird about it, no matter how many I wanted him to take. Overall I was very pleased with everyone and I couldn’t have asked for a better car buying experience. Eric, Cody, and Scott you guys rock! Thank you everyone with MB of Easton! More
