Everyone here is nice but the dealership seemed to be short staffed to put it kindly. I called to book my appointment om Friday and had not heard back by Tuesday so I called my rep again and he said he short staffed to put it kindly. I called to book my appointment om Friday and had not heard back by Tuesday so I called my rep again and he said he had so many voice mails and had not got through them yet. The day of service I noticed a long line when I got there for an oil change, and offered to reschedule. I was booked to wait and they had me signed up for drop off but that was incorrect so I waited in the lobby with 9 other customers. It took too long and when I tried to check out they wanted to sell me more brakes again that I had just replaced on the last appointment. The rep could not even print my invoice until he did a sales pitch on brakes ... again. They need to staff much better in the service department. YIKES is all I can say. More
Wow! Jim was so professional and helpful in finding us a car and helping us through the process. We had some hot cocoa while he did all the work. The finance guy was even helpful and cool. I have been a loyal customer at Mercedes Benz of Draper for over two years having spent $5,895 in service repairs to my vehicle w/ this company just this year alone. After my experience last week dealin for over two years having spent $5,895 in service repairs to my vehicle w/ this company just this year alone. After my experience last week dealing w/ service rep Jason Doyle I will not be back… Jason was abrasive, argumentative & rude every step of the way. It is clear to me that customer service is not in Jason’s nature and I find it astonishing that he is a customer service representative for this organization. ~D MY EXPERIENCE My experience began while waiting in lobby to be helped I watched Jason treat an elderly customer in his 80’s in an unbelievably disrespectful manner. I recently had two wheels on my vehicle reconstructed along w/ alignment repairs after hitting a curb at high speed which made the car in operatable. I was told by Jason when I picked the vehicle up after initial repair that I would experience slight issues when driving as the tires were unevenly worn and it would take X amount of miles or months for the tires to balance out and car to drive smoothly again. As I drove out of the lot that day I experienced vibration in the undercarriage while turning the steering wheel to the right… I assumed based off what I was told by Jason that this was the tire wear issue he informed me of. I drove the vehicle for two months assuming issue would resolve itself… mid-January I had a family tragedy occur that I had to attend to and was unable to bring vehicle back into dealership to address for roughly 6 months. Late summer I had a belt break on my vehicle and that gave me the opportunity to have this issue evaluated during this second repair. Over the six month laps I called two separate times to confirm company policy in regards to work performed and I was told by the service department that all work was warrantied for 1 year which I was still well within that window. When issue was evaluated during the belt repair the dealership informed me that they were not able identify any issues and after being without my vehicle or a loaner car for 1 week during this second repair I decided I would come back at a later date to address as I could no longer be without a vehicle. Upon bringing my vehicle back to re address Jason as stated above was argumentative out of the gates telling me I should have brought vehicle in directly after initial repair and I informed him that he was the rep who told me to give it time for tires to balance out. He then stated that I did not request this issue to be addressed in repair a few weeks earlier as it was not listed on his computer again irrelevant as I was still within the warranty period… Jason continued to argue that this was not addressed weeks earlier so I called over the service rep Jordan who assisted me at that time who then verified w/ Jason that yes they did address issue and were not able to identify any problems… Jordan informed Jason that he failed to put this in the notes, but yes it was addressed at that time and I was correct that I asked this be addressed during that second repair… hats off to Jordan for being a stand-up guy and telling the truth. Jason then said thank you for refreshing his memory and sent me on my way. Later that evening Jason called and informed me that the bearings on two wheels needed to be replaced and that the repair would be $1,600… I asked him if the bearings were associated with the repair either of the two wheels that were re constructed and he said it was irrelevant as it had been 14 ½ months so was out of the warranty period… I told Jason that was not true and I was still within the 1 year warranty period as I had already stated to him earlier that day when dropping off vehicle… after arguing this point w/ Jason he acknowledged he was in fact incorrect and I was within the warranty period and reiterated I should have brought vehicle in earlier as to much time had passed. I then asked Jason who I needed to speak with as it was clear we were not going to be able to have a truthful logical non argumentative conversation… he informed me that he would have his supervisor Mike call me, but that there was no way Mike was going to do anything for me as Mike would never agree to cover a $1,600 repair… not surprisingly I never heard from Mike. Again I repeatedly asked Jason the question if this issue was occurring on either of the two tires or associated with the repair where the tires/wheels were reconstructed a very simple question Jason would not answer. I would have expected a reply along the lines of “let me look into that and come back to you” or “I will inquire if this is covered under the warrantied work and get back to you on that” again very simple cordial customer service replies. Jason then called me the next day and informed me that his lead technician confirmed the bearings were not located on the wheels that were repaired and therefore not under warranty. At this point my trust in Jason and his word had gone out the door and I had no desire to spend my money with this organization after two days of being called a liar and repeatedly offered up talking points i.e. out of warranty period that were factually incorrect and “you can talk to my supervisor but he won’t do anything for you anyways”. The next day I text Jason that I would like to come pick up my vehicle and also inquired if the vehicle was safe to drive. He simply replied “no problem, you can pick up your car as late as 6pm” this text was at 12:53pm in a second text he stated that his tech was at lunch and he would ask him about safety when he returned… I never heard back from Jason in regards to if the car was safe to drive out of lot. 3 hours later at 4pm I arrived to pick up my vehicle… Jason was not at his desk so I was helped my another rep who was very friendly and pleasant to deal with… together the rep and I went to locate my vehicle which was on the opposite side of the building a 3-5 minute walk. The car was dirty and the plastic was not removed from vehicle… exactly how I would expect to find my vehicle when in the hands of a rep w/ a personality and lack of customer service skills such as Jason Doyle, but not how I would expect to pick up my car from a Mercedes dealership… this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing on every level. Excellent Customer Service - Out of State Purchase I worked with Mike Allred to purchase a used Volvo from out of state, and Mike was fantastic throughout the entire transaction. Buying a car sight uns I worked with Mike Allred to purchase a used Volvo from out of state, and Mike was fantastic throughout the entire transaction. Buying a car sight unseen can be challenging, but Mike was able to put my mind at ease - he sent multiple videos and photographs of the vehicle and noted every minor imperfection prior to the sale. He also promptly responded to every single text, call and email. He even brought the vehicle to a local Volvo dealership to have them fix a relatively minor issue (a broken cargo latch) before arranging to have the vehicle shipped across the country to me. Steve Davis was a pleasure to work with, as well. An all around excellent purchase experience with MB of Draper. More
