My car was a part of a recall regarding to the emission control and the installation by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer was recommended. I scheduled an appointment for my Mercedes E- 250 I called control and the installation by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer was recommended. I scheduled an appointment for my Mercedes E- 250 I called the Larry H. Miller Mercedes dealership in Draper SLC on Saturday March 27th and my car was scheduled for Thursday April 1st at 7 am. Because the dealer needed to order parts . I dropped my car at the dealership this day and they arranged the drive service to get me home. The same day at 8:40 I received the call from the service that my Mercedes is done, washed and I can picked it up. After I told to the technician that the car for the service is Mercedes E-250 he replied that this type is not a part of the recall and I can get my car back. At the dealership same day I provide them with the recall documents and we all agreed that my car is a part of the recall after all and they will start to work on it and it should be done by the end of the day. According to the recall documents it will take approximately 4 hours. A text message in the evening explained to me that the work is taking longer than expected and they will keep my car overnight. Next day on Friday I tried to call the dealership around noon, left a message and sent a text message with no answer. At 2:50 I received a text message explaining to me that they are working on it but the car will not be done until Monday. I called the service again and ask them for arranging a ride for me so I can get my car and keep it over the weekend. They agreed but after one hour waiting I called the Lift and got there on my own expenses. Talking to the service manager was not even close to any apologies from their side. The whole conversation was about blaming Mercedes for their problems and being overwhelmed with thousand of recalls. I can understand the frustration but it would be easier to tell me the first day that my car will be done when they get the parts for it. All the avoiding my calls and text messages was very unprofessional and could be managed differently. You can not talk bad about Mercedes -Benz since you are the one who represent them. I have my car back with the same problem and frustration what to do next. More
Pleasant and professional when I checked in. Even though I had given all pertinent information to make the reservation I had to repeat all of this again. I was told it would be 2.5 hours to 6 hours for the warranty work. At 6.5 hours I called and was told I would get a call mid morning next day. After making plans for transportation for that evening, 30 mins later I received a txt message with the Bill (no charge) and “ your car is ready”. Poor coordination. More

Big shout out to Chris in the service department, my family and I were on vacation 1/2 way across the US when our vehicle had some problems, feeling uneasy being so far from home and not knowing what to family and I were on vacation 1/2 way across the US when our vehicle had some problems, feeling uneasy being so far from home and not knowing what to do, Chris put our minds at ease and took care of us with the upmost respect and professionalism from the moment we arrived until he resolved the problem with our vehicle.
