Engine Control Module The car died. It had electrical power but no response when attempting to start the car by turning the key. I originally had it towed to a small repa The car died. It had electrical power but no response when attempting to start the car by turning the key. I originally had it towed to a small repair shop that I had used before. I considered having it towed to the Mercedes dealer but thought it was probably a fuse or relay so I took a chance. After diagnosis, the small repair shop called and suggested that the issue was beyond their abilities and I had better take it to the dealership, which I did incurring the cost of a second tow. I was called promptly when the car arrived there and the service advisor clearly understood the issue. It took until the next morning but I was called and told that it was the engine control module and it would be done the next day. I picked up the car and it runs fine. I was very pleased with the response to my problem and in the future, I will not bother with anyone other than the Mercedes dealer for my service needs. More
