This was my first appointment for service to my car and at the begining I was not happy because they called me to come back to change the loaner two This was my first appointment for service to my car and at the begining I was not happy because they called me to come back to change the loaner two hours after I got the car and I did it but then 15 minutes after that they called me again because my car was ready and I live very far away from there, so I contacted Luis Soto and he answered me in a calm manner, he apologized for the inconvenience and I was able to continue my way home without problem. Mercedes Benz welcoming attitude is very much present when visiting the Showroom, but Service Department's feeling is one of Efficiency. When I tried to get a courtesy vehicle, there was no guidance as to the process to be follow( I am referring to the person in charge of the rentals). I was unable to get one, due to my forgetting my driver license home. It was my fault. But, something was missing - "You are 3 on the line." Was the plain and serious statement. That's it. I felt that I was dealing with a "government employee", not a Mercedes Benz service staff trained to provide customer satisfaction. But perhaps, the Service Department is full of males and they do not feel that "smiling" is part of their job description. I got the feeling that this is "old boys' club". I leave the Service Department with the feeling of an efficient staff minding their own business, but something was missing. I love the easiness of making appointments, talking to the girl behind the telephone was such a pleasure; entering the MB driveway, you are treated nicely, guided with a smile. Once you entered Service Department, everyone was extremely busy and not one look at you. I had to approached one of the Reps seating in their desks and interrupted his thoughts to ask for Fernando. He just told me "the third one". You feel that you are invading their territory when addressing one of the many service representatives in the area. Positive contact and feedback was provided through the use of emails and texting. Great follow up, however, the faces behind were of "efficient" and "serious-minded individuals". It is a completely different feeling as the one you get in the Showroom, where customers are treated like ladies and gentlemen, not as a plain person requiring service. However, the outside staff assigned to Service Department were very accommodating and they were gentlemen and very courteous. I want to say that when I mention the Showroom, I am referring not only to the Sales people, but also the Financing, such as Mr. Rabassa, who is always outstanding. He is my true MB representative. More
