This is my 4th purchase from Mercedes-Benz of Clearwater, which says a lot since I reside an hour away and have 2 other dealers closer to me. I love this dealership because I have never felt pressured in either the sales or service department, and the entire staff are always so friendly. Bill Ashe has been my salesman on the last 3 of the 4 cars I have purchased at this dealership, and truly cares about helping me find the right car for my current needs. I had two GL450's at a time when my kids were younger and needed the extra room for all of their extracurricular activities, and am now back into a luxurious E-class now that they are off to college. :) And I also must mention my favorite service adviser, Stephen King, who also has always put my best interest first. There was a short time when he went to another dealership, which was a huge disappointment but I was so happy when he returned and became my service adviser again. He truly goes above and beyond with ensuring my vehicles are in top shape without trying to upsell on things that aren't necessary at the time. I also had a fantastic experience with Karen, the finance manager on the recent purchase of my E-class. She showed me all of the additional options available for my new car purchase and advised me of what would best meet my needs. Clearly, I can't say enough about this dealership and am always recommending them every chance I get! Highly recommend!!! More

CROOKS. Demanded $1,1195 doc fee to do paperwork. Most are willing to work with you in good faith on fees. They were not. I inquired about a C400 with servic Demanded $1,1195 doc fee to do paperwork. Most are willing to work with you in good faith on fees. They were not. I inquired about a C400 with service history gaps on CarFax. I was met with excessive fees and found this dealer unreasonable considering there was outstanding maintenance which is another $1,500. Never mind that I'd have to fly in at my own expense. For reconditioning costs it totaled 2,870.38 at their absurd labor and parts mark up—$300.28 remained unaccounted for. They claimed miscellaneous shop fees. Just for 4 tires $1,580.56. Oddly service replaced the gas cap on a car with only 40K miles on it. A new gasket seal runs $3.00 but instead charged $86 for a brand new cap. Their charge for a cabin filter? $192.50. To put this in perspective, the cabin filter is $19.60 at my local dealer and it takes 15 mins max to install. I could probably do it in 12 mins flat. It's just one of many glaring examples of how obscene their profit margin is. Bug hey gotta pump those numbers in this racket! This has to be the most non-transparent dealer I've seen yet. The rep claimed he was trying to help me yet its take it or leave it. Can you believe this nonsense! Believe it. It's rag time music at this dealer. BOTTOMLINE: No inspection report nor a fully itemized reconditioning report was furnished upon request. They refused to negotiate on price. I only received an out the door estimate in written form. This dealer's ethics are called into question. If you like the car get an independent inspection. Be sure to read the contract thoroughly before signing! More
