Carlin Criner was knowledgeable with a good bed side manner in hand holding us thru the process of vehicle selection to include wheels and accessories. After a hand shack to purchase the vehicle the experience continued with our introduction to Karen Williams. My husband has cancer and they took care of him as well as myself making the whole 4 hour experience well worth our time. All the staff we worked with went over and beyond. We were expecting to drive away with a pre-owned vehicle and drove away in a brand new 2014.Mr Mark Austin put a good word in for us and made this all happen. I work in the service industry as well at an eye institute and deal with all sorts of people and want them to have a great experience when they come in and that's exactly what we received. I would refer anyone who asks to Lokey and intend to do so! I just again want to thank everyone that worked with us for making us feel welcome and not being judgmental because I have had that experience in the past and didn't know what to expect when I went to Lokey today. So not only did we come away with a great car but an awesome experience as well! Thank You All Again Kim and Max More

Sandy, my sales person, knew the Benz inside and out and took the time to explain each detail of the car. By the time we returned to the dealership from the test ride, Karen, in the finance dept, was ready for me. She explained every paper I signed and when it came to the extra add ons to the vehicle she recommended things. She never pushed anything on me and I felt that she was helping and not overselling. Rick in the parts department was very helpful in things I wanted for my new car. He told me that if I ever wanted anything just to let him know and he would have whatever I wanted delivered to my house. AWESOME team!!! Jeanette B More

With the research in hand, we knew what we wanted and where the price should come in at. After visiting 2 Mercedes dealers closer to us, we contacted Lokey Motors with the specifications for the SLK we desired. Wesley Crane responded to our request in an extremely timely fashion with the exact information we requested as well as some ‘on lot’ options. Unlike the other dealers, Wes did not try to drive us to what they had. Instead, he listened to us, did his research to provide us with timelines to get what we really wanted and hit the price we were looking for off the bat; something the other dealers did not come close to. With no need for price negotiation, we moved on to the ordering process. Wes quickly made the dealer trade to get an SLK order that had not hit the assembly line, updated its configuration and kept us informed every step of the way up to the arrival of the vehicle on their lot. Even on the day of delivery, when our schedule changed, Wes and other members of the Lokey team worked together to accommodate our schedule change and get us on the road as quickly as possible. Karen Williams of the finance department was also a joy to work with. She was extremely caring and her insight was greatly appreciated. She was also very thorough and completed our paperwork very quickly. If you are in the market for a Mercedes, we would certainly recommend you contact Lokey. It was definitely worth the drive for us. And with their pickup and delivery service, plus loaner car for longer services, the distance from our home to their location is of no conern. More

Salesman pressured and I made a poor decision to purchase leaving a large down payment. After not sleeping all night, I called the next morning explaining that it was my mistake and I needed to bring the care back. I had just left at 7pm the day before and it was 8am the next morning Mr. Zoda again told me I was fine and needed to stay in the car. After strongly confirming I did not feel comfortable, I was abruptly told to return the car immediately. I assured him I was on my way. When we arrived, he was rude, stand offish, and never offered to help me find a lower priced vehicle. When confronted, he said he had none. When asked if he didn't have one or didn't want to sell one, he told us he would not us another vehicle nor would that dealership ever sell us another vehicle. I'm quite certain that we are not the only people to ever make a rash decision only to return 12 hours later. For a Mercedes and Infinity dealership, it was quite surprising. We received the ice treatment and stink eye from the second we entered. I will never go to a Lokey dealership of any kind ever again. Went down the street to Ford and bought a new car. More

This is my last ditch effort to try and get this resolved. In early August, I took the vehicle to Lokey Mercedes-Benz in Clearwater, FL to have some issues fixed with my car. It has been in twice to fix the same issues, the most important is a loud whining or whirring noise coming from the engine or drive train. The service department gave up trying to fix the noise after replacing the a/c compressor, and power steering pump, suggesting the noise was “normal for this model”. The pitch of the whine is consistent with the RPM of the engine. I have driven the vehicle a few times with the shop foreman and he has confirmed the existence of the whine. We even took a ride in a similar Year/Model ML, and found the whine to exist in it as well, except much louder. Once I heard the noise, I commented that it was louder than my vehicle. I hoped at this point, there would be an avenue to pursue the origin of the noise and it’s repair. I was surprised when the foreman seemed satisfied with returning my vehicle to me and closing the work order because it seemed to be “normal”, and mine was quieter than the other. I was so unhappy, I didn’t know what to say and just took my vehicle and left without addressing the other issues. The shop foreman knew I wasn’t happy, he said that if he ever finds out what it is and how to fix it, he would call me and have me bring it in. If he hadn’t understood my feelings about it, then I doubt we would have offered to do that. This last incident occurred on 8/14/2013. A few days later, I emailed Amy Steeves the Customer Service Manager for Lokey explaining my issues. She forwarded the issue to Matt Villani, the Service Manager. Matt and I spoke later that day which was Friday, Aug. 16, 2013. He explained that he would research the issue and get back to me. He explained that he would not be able to get back to me until the following Wednesday, 8/21/2013 due to a work related event he had to attend on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday came and went and I didn’t hear from him. On Thursday 8/22/13 I sent a follow up email requesting an update. Matt called me later that afternoon explaining that he was still looking into it. Later that evening, I did some research in some of the MB forums on the internet and forwarded my finding to Matt be email. I have yet to even receive follow up confirmation from him that he even has read the email. So that is where I stand currently. The follow up has left me feeling stranded. I fear this is going to be one of the stories you hear about the problem vehicle and the apathetic dealer service. This is the first MB I have owned. So far it has not lived up to the expectations when a person thinks of Mercedes. We have been considering the purchase of a convertible, either an SLK, or E Class for my wife. After this experience it is unlikely that it will be a Mercedes. What disturbs the most is the seemingly apathetic attitude from the management in the service area. To boil it down to its essence, it is a relatively new Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz, it makes a whining noise, the service department doesn’t express any interest in finding the problem if it is not a quick fix, even when presented with the similar make/model also in their facility for service making same noise, but louder, and the management at the facility seems to support them. Lokey has a great service department and truly care about their customers. Can't believe I am saying this about a car dealership, but they really stepped up to the plate for me. My brand new car seems to have had a defective transmission. Mercedes is airfreighting a new one to Lokey for replacement and going to inspect the old one. Seems they do care if the product they put out is not perfect. So glad I bought my car here!! Keith, Mark and Karen in sales, and Eric the shop foreman couldn't have been more accommodating. Thanks again!! More
