However, this dealership's service dept. (specifically Esmeralda) failed to meet my service expectations for basic diagnostic service. Totally unacceptable service experience! If you need to service your Benz, you will receive 100 times better service either at Tysons or Bethesda. More
Unacceptable service I recently purchased a C300 from the dealership in Chantilly and I am highly disappointed with the level of service I received for a "luxury" car. 1) I recently purchased a C300 from the dealership in Chantilly and I am highly disappointed with the level of service I received for a "luxury" car. 1) I was given a run around during the purchase process that the car I was interested in was not available anywhere in the Northern Virginia, yet I received 2 calls after I bought the car from the Tyson's location indicating they had 3 on their lot; 2) I was hassled by no less than 5 phone calls demanding my insurance information while they already had it in their files; 3) I was asked whether I wanted LoJack installed which I declined but there is part number and other documentation for LoJack in the glove compartment. So, I have no idea if it was installed or not; 4) I received a letter 3 weeks after my purcahase from mbrace asking me to Press the i-Button to activate it. This was not even mentioned during the vehicle purchase. Additionally, mbrace people indicated that the feature won't be turned on unless I provide a credit card number to them. Why would a “nice” feature like this require a credit card to activate during the 6 month trial period? XM Radio doesn’t. I owned a Mercedes before through the Tyson's dealership and had no problems whatsoever. I find the initial dealing with Chantilly unacceptable. I chose this dealership because it is closer to my home but maybe I should have stayed with Tyson's. More
What a difference a few months make. This review is for their pre-owned vehicles. I purchased a Pre-Owned BMW 330i from the dealership a few months ago. Recently the rear driver side window regulator br their pre-owned vehicles. I purchased a Pre-Owned BMW 330i from the dealership a few months ago. Recently the rear driver side window regulator broke. The past few days I've been emailing with Bob Slattery who was my sales person during my purchase. I first inquired from Mr. Slattery a few days ago whether or not the dealership could cover the repair of the rear window. Mr. Slattery said that they could not but would ask the powers that be. After letting me know that the powers would not do anything, I then proposed to Mr. Slattery to pay for the repair at costs as generally the costs of the repairs come from labor costs. Mr. Slattery informed me that since its a BMW, it would need to go to a BMW dealership. Later that day I learned from Mr. Slattery that his manager (Mr. Decompo) choose not to get involved. While I understand pre-owned cars come with limited warranties, this purchase was made just a few months ago, has been paid in full and a show of good will should be shown in this instance. With the very recent communications from Mr. Slattery informing me that his manager does not want to get involved leaves me to pass along to others to be buyer beware from their pre-owned sales department. In fact, I wrote a cordial email to Mr. Decompo which he did not correspond back. I ended up buying the part from BMW and had my mechanic put it on. I would not go back or recommend this dealership. They have a very open and friendly enviorment. I went there several times while searching for a new car. Sam and Eric let me drive as many cars as I wanted and never made me feel pressured to make a dec there several times while searching for a new car. Sam and Eric let me drive as many cars as I wanted and never made me feel pressured to make a decision. After they explained all the options I ended up ordering one to get it just the way I wanted. It was nice to go to a car dealership that is responsive but no pressure. More
for the first time I went in This place on January 19, 2014 two weeks ago to buy New ML 350, worked with one of the Sales representative he was pleasant . After we discussed on the price, Sales represent 2014 two weeks ago to buy New ML 350, worked with one of the Sales representative he was pleasant . After we discussed on the price, Sales representative asked me how long do i have on my VISA. the current visa i have is valid for 1 more year. I said it would get renewed in few months, then i was told they couldn't sell the car because i don't have much time left on my visa, i tried to talk to the manager, he was very rude, Didn't sound he wants to sell the car to me. i asked him if it was the price or my visa thats an issue to him. He replied in a very unfriendly manner " Its the price , but the visa is running in the back of his mind" . we didn't like his response and got out of there. Then the Sales representative was still in touch with me, he asked me to get the pre approved loan and if i can come up by 2k on the price offered, he could convince the manager. I liked the options this particular car has, it only has the options i am looking for.. so i am not paying for anything that i don't need, so even though i didn't like the manager, today i went in again with the pre approved check hoping to bring the car home. I accepted to buy the car at the price they offered to me the other week, and now its not the price that the manager hasn't liked, its my VISA which is of priority to him. He said he cant sell the car to me. I had other options, which i would have explained, but with the way the manager behaved, i had to walk out of the dealership. Very Unfriendly person, he is the only reason that i didn't purchase the car today. I don't think he wants to sell the car tome as i am an immigrant. Especially If you are on a VISA, don't waste your time here, you might get the same unpleasant experience i had. ( When asked the sales rep regarding the manager name , i was told its "Prince" and when i specifically asked whats his last name, he thought for some time and said "Addy"... i wasn't sure if thats the right name ) I will never recommend this dealership to any one, they make you feel like they are doing us a favour by selling us the car. I am not the easiest person to deal with especially when it comes to salesman and finance folks but I have to admit it was a pleasure working with Sam and Carl as well as all staff members we spoke with. There are not enough words to express the SHOCKING poor customer service I've received since buying a used car from Mercedes-Benz of Chantilly. I bought the car nearly 2 months ago, and I AM STILL awaitin customer service I've received since buying a used car from Mercedes-Benz of Chantilly. I bought the car nearly 2 months ago, and I AM STILL awaiting delivery of the Title for the vehicle. They've had to reissue my temp tags already, and my 2nd set expired yesterday today, so I can no longer drive the car. I cannot get anyone to return my voice mails. Matt Khan (Finance), Carl Durham (head of Finance) and Bob Slattery (salesman) have each been involved - and none of them have followed through on this. I leave voice mail after voice mail. And I have gotten promise after promise. SHOCKING. More
