Richard and George were exceptional in the sense that they listened to my concerns, my needs, and respected me as a person while going through the process. Some people in this industry are "pushy" and only care about "getting the deal done," but that was NOT the case with either Richard or George. They actually cared about what I wanted and what I felt comfortable with. I told both individuals my non-negotiates and they delivered on that and more. I am very satisfied with my new C300 and look forward to doing business with them in the future. I would recommend working with Richard and George to anyone. More

Very Bad Service Experience Suddenly my car did not start, so I took my car to the caldwell location for diagnosis. After diagnosis, the service advisor Franca M told that this w Suddenly my car did not start, so I took my car to the caldwell location for diagnosis. After diagnosis, the service advisor Franca M told that this would need whole EIS replacement, Ingnition key and Steering complete replacement and would cost me around $1943+ taxes. After negotiating, they came down to 1800. So I checked with other dealer and found that for the same job it would cost me only 1370 incl taxes. So I told why so much difference, they said if you want to move to another location, i need to pay diagnosis fee of $220. As a benefit of doubt, i made my mind to have the repair done at caldwell itself instead of moving to another location, it would take more time. After, the diagnosis Franca M told that your key needs to be replaced and when i asked the same thing when i went to pick up the car after repair work is done, she rudely responded that you would have to spend more money for new key. I asked a simple question but she was so rude in responding. I dint say anything, i asked her to tell me the things that were fixed but she was reluctant to explain and was so rude in her response and felt she is kind of making me feel that i am not capable of paying more charges. I asked if we have replaced whole EIS system, will there be any new features. Even for that her response was, if you want all of those things, you would have ended up spending another $5000 and I told i am just asking if there are any benefits and you don't have to be rude. Manager came and I have reported the same and he simply said that i have not heard and he dint even bother to check whats going on. When I was started to leave, Senior manager/Director who saw me walking out frustrated and spoke to me and apologized for the staff behavior. He gone thru the paper work and explained me in detail and made me understand and i clearly told him that this is not the way that one speak to customer. Customer has all the right to know the information and they should not be prejudice what customer is capable or incapable. After i came home, found that my steering is very tight and when i complained few times, service advisor franca never respond and her manager left me a voice mail that this is not related to the repair and will charge more for the diagnosis. Then i went to a local repair and have it fixed. Overall my experience is very bad from the start, pricing is way more compared to other MB locations, experience with service advisor Franca was bad and manager is not willing to hear customer complains. I towed my car to this location as it was saturday and close by and would have gone to my regular service location in Morristown. More

When Mercades-Benz of Caldwell took over, I was very apprehensive of the changes that would take place. I was also concerned that my sales person had left and gone elsewhere. I decided before I followed my sales person, I would give Mercades of Caldwell a shot. I walked into the dealership and was greeted by John Murphy....the rest is history. We purchased two SUVs from John within 5 months. John made the car purchasing experience a pleasure. He did not play the usual car salesman games; he was a true professional; and he was beyond accomodating. Not only did he make the purchasing process a breeze, but he followed up thereafter, to confirm that we were satisfied with our purchases. Additionally, John did not patronize me as a woman and want only to speak with my husband as I have found to be the case with other car salesmen. John Murphy gets a 10 in our book!!! More
