The sales My name is Elsi Capolongo, a client of Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn. In September of 2013, I purchased a brand new 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK. The sales person who assisted me was Mr. Stephen McCloskey. From the onset of the exchange, Mr. McCloskey was extremely, impressively informative and sensitive to my budgetary considerations. I felt no pressure to purchase while freely calling Mr. McCloskey numerous times over a period of two weeks as we mutually strove to achieve a purchase with which I was comfortable. He presented options in a consummately professional manner with the ultimate goal of having a satisfied client. One day I was extremely thirsty having taken allergy medication and he immediately showed up at my side with a refreshing drink as I perused the showroom models. I purchased the vehicle and was quite satisfied with how it handled; I was however, while not experiencing buyer's remorse, beginning to realize that I should have purchased a larger vehicle to better meet my travel needs as I commute to a different borough 3 hours daily, oftimes in severely inclement weather. In January of 2014, I again reached out to Mr. McCloskey and hesitantly expressed my thoughts. I was afraid of appearing fickle or indecisive. Stephen McClosky made me feel as if I had every right to reconsider my decision. He walked me through the process of reselling the car to the dealership and purchasing the 2014 ML350, again, with tremendous consideration to my budgetary constraints. Had his treatment of me not been so sensitively non-critical or so patient, I would not now be the proud owner of said vehicle. Because of Mr. McCloskey, I have negotiated two purchase transactions with Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn within a five month period with no reservations or regrets whatsoever. This salesperson is a total gentlemen who deals with female buyers in a non-condescending respectful manner. I am a client now for life. Stephen is an asset to this company and should be acknowledged as such by Mr. Doug Wells. When returning the original vehicle (the GLK), I was carless with no means of transportation home (as due to the four snowstorms there was a slight delay in the shipping and delivery of the ML350). Mr. McCloskey promptly made arrangements for me to be escorted to my front door by an employee of MB of Brooklyn; again, he adeptly anticipated my needs and made the appropriate arrangements in an overt display of appreciation for my business. I had visited a different Benz dealership this past summer and the salesperson kept looking over my shoulder to see who walkd in as if prowling for a "better" client. In addition, initially, at a Jeep dealership, a salesperson ignored me in favor of a male potential client who came in after me (and who ended up walking out after 3 minutes) not knowing I was there to really and truly consider a purchase. I was never made to feel this way by Mr. McCloskey. I mention these incidents because customers are very aware of the attitudes and approaches salespersons use. A negative experience such as feeling ignored in a dealership can cause the permanent loss of a client who will then share this experience with others. Very bad experience with this sales person and his manager Jorge A. Rivera, most important is respect for a customer and a woman. They received my husband Honda Pilot for a trade in with a title my husband wasn't happen with the car they gave him and wanted to change it before the same week of the trade in they refuse helping him, then Jorge A. Rivera took 6 thousand and change agreeing to upgrade to another car then Manage his said no so I told them I want the Honda Pilot back because you can't sale the car without a title, the manage was very disrespectful told me February 11, 2014 he would return the Honda Pilot back to us and now they are giving me the run around so I am putting a Consumer report.
