We had an AC issue(not cooling), called Tory Barber and he got us in on a Saturday morning. It was 1st come basis, but given the circumstances it worked out fine for us. We had a diagnostic estimate going in, but fortunately it was just Freon and was much less than we had expected. We were there for about 2 hrs but the Customer Service waiting area was most comfortable, We enjoyed an Edgars menu, and browsing the new cars and their amenities making the time go by quickly. Tory went over the repair, and reviewed some additional upcoming work & estimates, & our car was returned to us sparkling clean with the AC working perfectly. Can’t say enough about how great it is to work with Tory, who is always able to explain the service we had or what is coming up.. More
Went out of her way near closing time to help with a flat tire and make sure we were comfortable while we waited. This is definitely a FIVE STAR SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!!! Recently we had "rain water damage" to our car, so we took it to MERCEDES-BENZ of Irondale's Service Department. We were immediately greeted by Mr. Tory Barber... He and his Team of experts diagnosed and repaired the damages in a timely manner, and for a VERY AFFORDABLE price! I DO NOT recommend Mercedes Benz of Birmingham, or Mercedes in general. I leased an SUV from them and they put subpar tires on the car that didn't even last 20,000 miles even though they were rated fo Mercedes in general. I leased an SUV from them and they put subpar tires on the car that didn't even last 20,000 miles even though they were rated for 55,000. When I called the service department at the Hoover location, I was told that I was really lucky to even get 20,000 miles out of them and that is is completely normal for them to not even last that long. I called the manufacturer of the tire only to be told that that is the only tire the don't warranty because they have a deal with Mercedes and it is a cheap tire. This location also doesn't tell you about all of the fees involved with leasing, so beware. If you do have problems with them, which YOU WILL don't expect that Trey (the manager) will do anything about it. He told me on the phone that he can't help with anything...wonder why he is even there. Long story short, Mercedes isn't what they used to be. More

At that point they said they have no solution for this issue So I'm left with a 2015 Certified ML350 that literally stinks. I've since learned this is a common problem with Mercedes Benz vehicles. I mad NOTE: Hover Service Location Today I took my 2018 Airstream Interstate Grand Tour (Sprinter 3800 Extended) into Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham. I made sure I had an appointment. The vehicle had 3500 miles on it and all I wanted was an Oil Change. I could have waited for the dash to say "A" service which was over 10,000 miles or do it now. The dealership told me the oil change was almost as much as the "A" service. I went for the "A" service. The lounge was very nice, free Wi-Fi and very clean. The new owners have made a difference in the way you feel at this dealership. Yet still it seems distant and not warm. I can't explain this feeling. It just seems a Mercedes-Benz dealership that charges over $400.00 for an initial service should provide their clients with more of a luxury experience. The Assistant Service Manager seem unfamiliar with Sprinters in general which did not lead me to feel completely confident. Again, I had a appointment, they knew what I wanted to do, and I went with the time and date they suggested. THEN, I received a text from the Service Tech (Ryan Forrester) working on my vehicle. He asked me for comments and thoughts. I responded via text and my confidence went WAY UP. That was a first and very impressive. This simple communication made all the difference in the world. Bravo Ryan. Would I use this dealership again. Of course I would. Especially with the communication during the event. Thanks for the communication folks. It made the difference. More
