I think they're trying to pass the buck because they cause your vehicle malfunction but said it’s yours responsibility. Especially it from theirs service manager Chris Walter’s. I had originally brought my vehicle in for tire rotation. This was to place the summer tires on and take the winter tires off. I also had a recall related to a print out in the owners manual. Furthermore, I This was to place the summer tires on and take the winter tires off. I also had a recall related to a print out in the owners manual. Furthermore, I had a problem with my rear bench passenger seat. Once the tires were exchanged, the technician had somehow damaged the weatherstrip on the passenger side rear door. This required a part order and subsequent replacement. I had to follow up on my part order twice. Eventually the work was scheduled on the day I had asked about the part. Once that was done, I came to pick up my vehicle and was told that the rear seat issue had also been addressed. Despite complex conversation with the team which included Ryan and Rory the service technician, we collectively agreed that the work was not completed and indeed required additional review. They ended up keeping the vehicle for several more days. The part necessary to fix the issue was ordered, and the issue was fixed. And ultimately I was able to pick up my vehicle. I was afforded a loaner vehicle the whole time. The team was extremely communicative. I think Ryan did an excellent job in follow up. I wish that none of this actually had to happen in such a complicated way; despite that, I feel like Ryan managed the situation well. Ultimately, he took care of me, and I'm very satisfied with his efforts. More
I expected to get the usual dealer line and then not even know if the work paid for was actually completed. Instead I made a friend and met someone who actually had my back. He gained my trust which I would know if the work paid for was actually completed. Instead I made a friend and met someone who actually had my back. Took my car in today for a recall service. Also wanted them to analyze a check engine light that just came on. They said it would be $235 and my car would have to be in for at least a full day Also wanted them to analyze a check engine light that just came on. They said it would be $235 and my car would have to be in for at least a full day. I said no and stopped at an AutoZone where I ran a free analysis in under 2 minutes and found out it was a loose gas cap (appears to need replacing). Why didn't Mercedes Benz of Beaverton run the the same 2-minute check while they had the car. I could have purchased a new cap and been done. (Maybe because they couldn't charge $235 if they did that?) Also, I've called service 4 times during business hours and cannot get anything but an answering machine. More
