THEY SELL GREAT CARS, BUT HAVE NO BUSINESS ETHICS! CANNOT TRUST THEM! If YOU are a person who CARES about the experience when buying a car, DON’T GO to MotorWerks. If YOU are a person who DON’T WANT TO FEE TRUST THEM! If YOU are a person who CARES about the experience when buying a car, DON’T GO to MotorWerks. If YOU are a person who DON’T WANT TO FEEL HURT or DISAPPOINTED when buying a car, DON’T GO to MotorWerks. If YOU are a person who DON’T WANT TO FEEL the HESITATION of BEING TRICKED or HUSTLED when buying a car, DON’T GO to MotorWerks, … because they are SKILLED at NOT KEEPING THEIR WORD and they definitely LACK INTEGRITY. They sell high-end cars and you fall in love with your dream luxury car. When it’s time to buy, they keep increasing their price. Let me explain how and why! I’ve had 2 car buying experiences with Motorwerks and I was asked to pay more than the agreed on price or listed price when it was time to buy. It really doesn’t matter if it’s an online deal or if it’s a face-to-face deal. First one was in the summer of 2018. I went to buy a used Lincoln which was one of the traded-in cars to them. I checked it out and liked it. Worked with the sales rep. You know they always put a paper in front of you and make you sign off on it when they go back and forth between you and their manager. Finally, we cut a deal. I offered a cash price and 10% more if it would be a finance deal. They agreed on the finance deal. We shook hands and we had the numbers signed off on that paper. As you know, the next step is to wait for the finance person to do the paperwork. Apparently, they were short on finance staff on that day and had me wait more than 2 hours. Once we finally sat with the finance guy, he upped the number by another 25% and said he’d lose money if he sold the car at that price. I WAS SHOCKED! I said we agreed on the price and cut a deal. I asked to simply use the numbers that were signed off on the paper. He said there must have been an “honest” misunderstanding. I felt like what can you “honestly” misunderstand numbers and signatures, especially when they clearly exist on a paper. Managers came in and out, they left and came back. I was so DISAPPOINTED. At some point, I was told to either pay 35% more or they wouldn’t sell me the car. Basically, I was told to either get hustled or leave the dealership after spending nearly 5 hours in there during that day! You know there are moments in life that you like something and want it so bad and something happens and ruins all of your dreams. Then you are all by yourself with a broken heart and hurt feelings. That’s exactly what happened at that time. They are so SKILLED at TRICKING YOU and PLAYING WITH YOUR EMOTIONS. I finally said that they were no different than any other car dealer out there who always try to steal your money by playing with numbers and asked if this was their business ethic. I am not sure what happened behind the scenes but they came back and said they would sell the car on the cash price with a claim that they were losing money. It’s the same language any car dealer uses. You know all dealers tell you that you are getting a great deal and they are losing money on their car. I still don’t understand how all the car dealers remain in business if they are losing money on every single car they sell! Second one was yesterday. Summer of 2020. I found an online deal for a used BMW which was listed as damaged on the left. They had an MVP price listed next to it. I was a little hesitant about the damage because they did not include any pictures. Regardless, I felt that I’d buy and get it repaired. I submitted the online reservation and filled out their credit application. When I went to the dealership next morning, same thing happened again. After seeing the car, I told them I was buying it. Then, they increased their price again with a claim that it must have been a typo. Again another “honest” mistake. When I wanted to make my point, the manager apologized and attempted to stand up and leave. Then another manager came to speak when I asked for his contact information. I explained that their website is their institutional word and that’s probably how they advertise most of their cars. As customers we see them and use them. For a damaged car w/o any pictures, I saw the price and submitted all of my confidential information (including my SSN) to them thru the same website. I basically reserved the car and submitted payment arrangements for it. However, THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT KEEPING THEIR WORD! Again, it was a very “honest” human error to them very similar to my previous experience. This time I had to leave the dealership without buying the car because they did not give it and stated that they have a disclaimer somewhere on their website that they had a right to change price when selling. In short, here is what MotorWerks is about. They sell quality cars. You won’t have to worry about the cars you buy because they are name brands. Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, etc. The brands themselves are quality and have a reputation. However, MotorWerks HAS the WRONG BUSINESS ETHIC to sell these high-end brands. They definitely LACK INTEGRITY. Their sales people and managers have no business ethic or they are well-trained on a dishonest business ethic. They basically make you fall in love with high end cars and then they try to steal your money when you want to buy them! They don’t only RUIN MotorWerks’ REPUTATION but they also RUIN THE REPUTATION of CAR MAKES such as Mercedes, BMW, Porsche. What you need to understand is that if you don’t have more money than you need to pay for something you love, DON’T GO TO MOTORWERKS! If you are a person who works hard to deserve every single penny you make, DON’T EVEN PASS BY MOTORWERKS because they will attempt to STEAL YOUR MONEY and THEY WILL HURT YOUR FEELINGS! My humble 2 cents per my disappointment in them… Not just one, but twice… If the owners of MotorWerks want to learn the names of the employees who ruin their company’s reputation, they are more than welcome to contact me. I left my contact information with the manager. I was the person who came in on June 11, 2020 around 8:45 to the Porsche dealer in Barrington, IL. My personal ethics don’t allow me to leave people’s names on online reviews regardless how unethical they may be! More

He verified the condition of the car (it was a CPO) and it was as he said when we arrived. Finance manager did not try to pressure us into extras, which was appreciated. Took a tad longer than I felt it should have, but still a positive experience. Austin showed us how to operate everything. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Appreciated his help as well. More
