We typically have a solid experience with their service department, but this time a service advisor took advantage of a situation that was not necessary, and saw an opportunity to swindle my wife into purc department, but this time a service advisor took advantage of a situation that was not necessary, and saw an opportunity to swindle my wife into purchasing tires. It was highly unprofessional and unethical!! My wife took our car to get serviced on 8/24 for a general service for an engine light issue. We were told it needed a special Flex plan service. We were given two options: one being more expensive than the other. We were told to get a Flex B service. After hearing that the expensive plan covered an entire and "thorough" inspection, we agreed to the more expensive one. Keep in mind, I saw that our tires were good. My previous non-Mercedes mechanics (friends and colleagues as well) that I do business saw that the tires were fine. We just purchased the car from a dealership adjacent to Mercedes several months ago, and the tires were NEW at the time of purchase. The service advisor verbally suggested at some point we would need new tires, but we would be fine. The invoice reads 6/32, 6/32, 5/32, 4/32 on tread. A few weeks later on 9/16, we had a tire in the nail. I tell my wife just get it repaired. Worst case scenario, maybe purchase a tire or two. Typically you buy either two of the same in the back or in front. The same service advisor (and I do have his name), tells my wife that she needs four "special" tires ONLY sold by Mercedes, and no one else sells these tires. Hahaha. Are you kidding me? I'm glad I wasn't there to tell him sooo differently. I even spoke to someone that used to work at Mercedes, and you won't believe his response. Anyways, he cons my wife into purchasing 4 new tires for over $1500 dollars. The previous tires were fine. They had 6/32 tread on it, and it was only 3 weeks later we had to go back for a nail. If it wasn't for the nail, we're still in good shape. We still had another good season on it. He continues to tell her you have no choice since we have it on the rack. So you mean to tell me in 3 weeks from 8/24 to 9/16 those same tires were that bad that we had no choice to but to buy "only the special tires from the Mercedes dealer" because they are the only ones who sells those tires? Well guess what, my wife hardly drives her car. It's me and my other car that drives about 60 miles daily to and from work. My wife maybe drives 15 miles max per week. Meaning she drove roughly 45 miles total during those 3 weeks. My parents who are Mercedes owners from LA said she got fooled. The dealer down the street couldn't believe it. Both my friends who own auto mechanic shops with one owning a tire shop both said she got tricked. I said she got played. After hearing this from everyone, my wife ends up crying and embarrassed making that decision as she felt absolutely compelled she had no other choice, and later realizing it was total absurdity. The sad thing is that she was saving that amount of money to give our 2-year old daughter a great experience at Disneyland for her birthday coming up soon, and now she can't because she spent it on the "SPECIAL TIRES ONLY FROM MERCEDES," AND SHE CAN'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO FIND THEM. I was very disappointed, frustrated and disheartened all in one. SHAME ON YOU MERCEDES SERVICE DEPARTMENT. It's time you develop a moral compass, John. More

I placed an order with him and he promptly sent me a receipt and specifics. I ended up canceling the order for personal reasons and to my surprise Leo promptly refunded my money with no questions asked. Because of his attitude and professionalism I would highly recommend him. More

Mercedes Benz of Bakersfield has always been good to me. I recently brought my car into another shop to have it repaired. When they quoted me the price it seemed a little high for the repairs. I contacted Mercedes Benz of Bakersfield and asked what the repair would cost and they quoted me a much lower price. Needless to say, I brought my car back to Mercedes Benz of Bakersfield and had the work done. The price was not everything that sold me on the local Mercedes dealer: They have always treat me with the highest respect (Going to an outside shop was the suggestion of a friend. I was reluctant just because of the customer service I have always received at the dealer). They always offer me a car or a ride while my car is being repaired (Always a great advantage for a busy businessman as myself). When I pick up my car it is always cleaned and ready to go (car freshly washed and radio station not changed). Since I bought my Mercedes they have always taken care of me and the only reason I really ever searched elsewhere was because my warranty had ended and I was told the price was going to be outrageous compared to any other shop. This was not the case. Mercedes Benz of Bakersfield has always treated me right and from now on I will always bring my repairs to Mercedes Benz of Bakersfield. Thanks, John Hoffman More

They even have this delivery room where a specialist spent over an hour and showed me everything there is to know about my car and even paired up my cell phone with the vehicle. I have never even heard of this. First class all the way. If you are in the market for a used Mercedes, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS. THEY ARE HONEST!!! More
