I had researched online for a certified pre-owned SLK 320 and just out of curiosity to see it – we walked in on a rainy Saturday afternoon w/ out an appointment. We were greeted by a very friendly Roger Blau who showed us the vehicle and let me take it out for a spin on the soggy streets of Annapolis - and two days later I drove away with it. I have no idea why I waited as long as I did to finally own a MB. There was no pressure to purchase the vehicle – in fact that Saturday I went home and had to think about it for a day. When we returned to complete the deal I was greeted by Larry Grabenstein – and I was flattered he had remembered us from the weekend and he was kind enough to accept my offer. Financing was offered thru MB – but I choose to go thru my credit union. For a pre-owned vehicle – this SLK 320 was in absolutely pristine condition (leather interior was flawless and the exterior was spotless). Mercedes Benz of Annapolis made me feel like I was purchasing a gem, not just a pre-owned vehicle. The SLK 320 is the perfect fit for me and my lifestyle. I just love it. Doug and I had been corresponding by telephone and email for about 4 months as I did research on several vehicles in preparation for turning in a lease (Mazda CX-7). From the very start there was no pressure - just offers to help with what I needed. I was originally interested in the new GLK. When I determined that this was over what I wanted to budget, I settled on a gently used ML350 (in retrospect, the better choice as I think the GLK is a bit too small for my needs). Once I sent Doug a list of what I wanted to see in a car and my timeline, he sent me back an email with what they had and offered to search further if that didn't appeal to me. As it turned out, one of the ML350s they had in stock suited my needs fine and I made arrangements to see it. The dealership is well laid out (although parking is a bit tight - this is Annapolis) and everyone there was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and low pressure. Certainly they wanted to make a deal (and we did) but I have walked out on other dealers who were much more interested in what they wanted to sell than in what I wanted to buy. They also spoke highly of other makes that they did not sell (an acid test of sincerity). Not so here; they were patient, respectful and professional. I traveled an hour to buy my car here and would have done twice that. Five stars all around. More
